Hi guy's.

I've finally perfected rolling a mesh wick and a coil. Took me enough tries to get it right.

Anyway, my coil now reads 1.8 Ohms which is great and no hotspots which is great.

I did plenty of coil oxidization too and everything looks great.

So......

I load up my fave juice (Truth Serum 12Mg 70/30 PG/VG) and fill up the DID.

Let it soak for a few minutes and prime the wick.

Fire it a couple of times and it's doing well, no hotspots.

Pop the cap back on and vape. Things are amazing flavor wise, but where's the vapor clouds? I'm barely getting any vapor clouds. The flavor is super intense though.

I've tried all voltages from 3.4 all the way to 4.2 volts and even 4.6 volts for kicks.

The higher voltage gives more vapor but tastes burnt big time. At 3.8 volts it's fine but very little vapor.

I've been vaping it for a day now and the vapor is becoming better but still it's real real thin. Not dense at all.

What am I doing wrong?:oops::oops::oops::oops:

wicking problem most likely...

Mesh roleld too tight, center hole too small, too much oxydation process (mesh is blocked)

The causes can be many with a Genesis

I never thought that the wick would be a problem.

I'll try to roll a new wick make it a bit fatter and not go nuts oxidizing it.

I'll update in about an hour.

I'm no expert, make no mistake but I think the fool-proof way to do a mesh/coil setup is

-toothpick
-screw

Got to find the right patch of mesh to roll on the toothpick on which the coil you make on the screww fits just right, lightly oxydize the mesh w/o dipping it and slide the coil over, connect, prime, vape.

I have yet to try it,but I see the experts do it this way

Ok what kind of mesh are you using?

What type of resistance wire are you using?

how big is the inner channel in your wick?

how tight are you wrapping your coils?

more than likely its one of those i find 28 or 30g resistance wire works best for me also i use 325 or 270 mesh when i can get it.

The same mesh and write that came with the did.

Same brand cartos can have different draws.
I would say that, barring a short and not taking into consideration the 70% pg in your juice,
air flow is your problem.

The air hole on the did is 1.25mm. I specifically ordered a 1mm how do is right than normal but not too loose. It's like using a carto.

Need you to post pics of your setup,(wick/coil) in meantime - check out post 2956
