nope...i don't squish black widows until after they're poisoned. they're the type of spider i have to kill twice.

i tried sevin dust first, but it didn't work, might have made her stronger. So i went for the nasty spray stuff (so i guess i still will have killed this one twice). She'll either be gone or massive the next time i have to mow.:shudder:

OOH Ladies be warned.:p I once had a water-bed....just loved it ....however it had to go...you see...I wanted to change the position of the bed, and thus had to empty the waterfilled mattress....hmmm...then I discovered that I had an entire spider-farm living the good life in between the warm mattress and the frame around it.....hmm...I would estimate at least 20 big ones and lots of little ones lived in my bed  The crepy, crawly sensation I sometimes had at night.....aaaarrrrrgggghhhh.....
I never slept in a waterbed again...:D

OMG, OMG, OMG...I'll never sleep again :(. I'd move.

My little cousin loves potato bugs. They're harmless and all, but seeing that their name ends with bug...Ew.

Came here to watch the spider vid, which was funny, in and of itself. However, I stayed to read through these four pages of responses, and OMG I just can't stop laughing!!!!!

You guys are HILARIOUS!!!!! I laughed so hard that my bladder said, "Seriously, Woman?!? Yah . . . don't expect much from me!"

That's what I was talking about. I call potato bugs rolly polies, too. I'm not sure what moondragon's potato bugs are :). She's all the way across the country from me!

Ok, found a wiki link for what I was referring to, and it turns out they are native to the western US and parts of Mexico. Now if I can get the link posted correctly. Jerusalem cricket - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. There is a good picture of one on that site, but you may not want to look at it if you are eating ... :)

OMG........that thing is scary looking!!

My dog always comes to my defense - 6.5lb Yorkie - yeah, he is a bug killer for real! lol When I watched this video I made the SAME noise I do when there is one in my house - he came scurrying over to see where the bug was.

Brave little guy!!

Yep....that's what I was talking about CES.
