Wow spiders of any size make me freak out and I just threw my coffee thank you very much! WOW!!!!!!!!! My husband laughs at me when I am trying to kill spiders so small you can hardly see them. Every time I swat at them I scream and have this little jump/run thing I do. ROFL he just laughs at me while I freak out. :) I would fully expect my two Savannahs to kill the spiders but no, they want to play with them. Esh...come on guys! LOL!

My husband has had a pet tarantula twice. The first one took a little vacation when I was staying at my mom's for a little while. It climbed up the glass and pushed the top off of the aquarium it was in. We looked all over that house and couldn't find it. Two months later, my mom goes to reach for a tissue off the shelf on her nightstand and feels something strange - it was the tarantula - still alive and fine. After that we put some rocks on top of the cover to make sure he stayed in!

Hey, I'm not scared of spiders and bugs, but even I would have poo-pooed my rompers!!

I'm terrified or spiders as well, but felt REALLY bad the other night...I let Piper out for her evening piddle before bed and, I saw him..he was right there see, on the outside door frame. One of those BIG spiders that seem to have taken over Toronto in the last few years. (Kat'll know which ones I'm talking about, we call them 'gumballs' because that's about how big some of their backsides get!!) Anyhoo, I saw him there, thought I don't want him in HERE, so I grabbed a piece of cardboard to 'flick' him elsewhere.

I flicked him and heard a very audible 'ping' as he hit the fence. Felt TERRIBLE. I REALLY did! So much so that I looked for a little 'corpse' first thing the next morning, but all was clear! (Unless a bird ate his poor little injured body...I'll stop now.)

My thoughts exactly!

Y'all don't wanta vacation in Vietnam, then! Reason DH is scared of spiders is they have spiders in the jungles that, legs and all, get the size of dinner plates, and they would drop down on their webs right in front of their faces! He was already scared of bugs from his older brother teasing him with them when he was a kid, so needless to say, that really capped it!!!

I'm going to remember that! It's not on our list yet of countries to visit if we ever get to where we're able to take those types of vacations, so I'm probably safe.
