Taste is subjective. This review is very subjective and being done based on my tastes, preferences and vaping habits. YMMV This is my personal review on the large Smileomizer. It was sent to me for the purpose of this review. This review will be similar to my review on the small smileos, but Ive had them for much longer now so I have more info and insight.
I have no high tech measuring devices so all the information Ive gathered is sensory.
According to the site they hold 6ml of juice, unfortunately my syringes dont have lines on them anymore so I couldnt test this out. I did use a syringe to fill it, which I highly recommend so that way you get a perfect fill/top off every time and you never have to worry about burning or them leaking into your auto batt (due to being not filled all the way, of course there are other reasons these things will occur). I just leave juice in a syringe and whenever I need to top off I squeeze a little in until it floods, pull back on the plunger until the excess is gone and it's ready to go. It is very important to have a condom on the bottom of the smileo while doing this or the juice will leak out everywhere, they come with perfectly fitting condoms. I top off about once a day to keep it nice and juicy. The topping off has prevented me from getting an accurate number of refills, but I would estimate that Ive put about 8ml in it so far and its still working fine.
I thought the mouthpiece was HUGE on the small smileos
this one is gigantic!! I did not use the stock mouthpiece but for a couple puffs, because I just cant use it. The wonderful K9luvr was nice enough to send me some of the DTs that come with the Ego Mega cartos. I used the whistle tip ones on my small smileos and they were ok, but not great. However, she sent me a round tip one that I put on my large smileo and it is absolutely perfect!! I love it! I will post pics when I get home as I left my smileos there this morning (its been a crazy day). V4L, if you are looking for recommendations for DTs that fit on the smileos I HIGHLY recommend this type. I will buy them (or if anyone has a few laying around that they wouldnt mind parting with please PM me, one more would be great!).
I have only used one flavor so I haven't cleaned the smileo yet.
Pros:
-Bigger than regular cartos, but just as easy to fill and vape
-Fits beautifully on the XL DAV and Large Zeus batts
-Comes in the same color as the Zeus batts (or black for the black DAV) for a very sleek look
-DT is attached so it won't fall off and get lost and it is rubbery so if you drop it, it won't break
Cons:
-That giant DT (again, this is just personal preference, Ive actually seen a couple people that like it)
-Normal carto cons like: polyfill burns if you let it get too dry/dont fill it enough, cant see how much liquid is left/needed, chain vaping can cause a hole in the wick tube, etc.
In all honesty, I stopped using cartos when I started using tanks some time ago (one reason this review took so long to come out, along with my busy couple of months). However, I have found several circumstances where smileos are perfect and am planning on getting more, as backups seeing as the 3 I have had for 2-5 months are still working. #1 best thing about these things: I recently started traveling more for work and so I will be flying more often. These are less conspicuous than tanks, major plus when going through security. Tanks are also known for draining when they are subjected to the pressure changes in an airplane cabin, which is why its recommended to fly with only empty tanks. So smileos are now my preferred device while flying.
Let me know if you have any questions/comments, Ill be happy to address them.
