No I don't have a tube. Isaac, got 2 tiny batteries?
Now you really lost me!!
Hmmm, maybe its a turbo charged system with solar power that lasts eight solid hours before recharge. Oh yes, also a variable voltage regulator with an adjustable resistence tip.
Lol YES! I actually looked into those! It's a pricey procedure to do it right and doing it right only lasts you a about 30 minutes! You did nail one of the features however ;)

Is there a lot of issue regarding protected vs unprotected 10440s for the lazer?

On the site it lists them as being unprotected, and others talk about protected.

I was always under the assumption that high voltage vaping is where I would need to be concerned about this.

Whatcha think?

I agree, the danger comes to rise when stacking two unprotected batteries on top of one another and/or the activation of the button constantly when the battery is empty (improper discharge). Protected have an automatic cut-off switch to prevent i.d.. The other side of Unprotected is an improper charger, but most chargers, about 90% or so already have built in protection to stop this from happening. I don't believe there were any reports of single cell unprotected battery mis-haps recorded. The world did run off of them for decades previously.

Yea, on the forum the unprotection concept blew up big time. However for good reason, I was just reading about a user that got his teeth blown out by using double stacked unprotected batteries. I'll be carrying protected 10440 soon, just for safety reasons. As your Passthrough, standard e-cigs don't even have them.

i ordered a laser about 3 weeks ago, been using it daily since i got it and its great. no complaints at all. size is good, very strudy, battery life has been fantastic.

Im using protected batteries in it and they fit ok. They were a little snug for the first week or so, but it worked fine, only issue was couldnt screw the cap it all the way, but after that first week, i think the spring compressed some and now i can fit the protected batteries all the way without any issue.

I went to the site, and noticed the 510 lasers are out of stock, any chance they will be back soon?? I would love to get one of these before I leave for Oregon in 2 months. We will be traveling and camping most of the summer, and away from the PC and the ability to receive packages. I suppose I could get the other one, and use an adapter, but I prefer the small atty of the 510. I just found my 901/510 adapter, that should work right? What is the guesstimated life expectancy of the laser mod?

Hi Jam,
Nice to meet you, :) I would honestly suggest that you look into an 18650 mod. These are the biggest that they do come in at But, it will indeed last you days (12+ hours Heavy vaping) to come and usually they are built very sturdy. I do have one that I can lend you in the mean time, but you have to promise to give it back! haha

We should have more coming soon, but we're having a bit of a time on receiving 510 lpv's. It's more of a locating 510 connectors prob.

Glad to meet you too :D

Is that the chameleon? If so, I already have 2 little chucks on order, so they will probably take care of the long term use, I just like the laser pointer due to it's size, mainly. I was just curious as to how long they hold up before they start to fail. I guess for the price, if the laser mod lasts a few months, it would be worth it. I have just started to look into making my own mods, and have realized that I need to learn a bit more before I will get it right. In the mean time, though, I would like to have a mod battery that I don't mind taking around with me, with out worrying too much about it getting beat up or losing it. I am sure the chucks I ordered will be kept at home most of the time, one will have the design that I am using for my avatar right now, and the other will have a different image but will be equally as psychedelic, that one is for my boyfriend. They will be treated more like my special, use at home art pieces, than to use when I am out and about. I also just got the ego, which is really nice, and I just don't want to use it up right away, since the batteries are so expensive to replace. I got that one just before I started finding the mods that let you replace your own batteries, which I prefer. Let's just say I am stocking up as much stuff as I can before we move this summer, and I wanted to get a little of everything. ;) I even got a GG slim, but I have been on the fence about keeping it, it's great, works well, but damn it was expensive, and I am starting to have buyers remorse. Don't be surprised if it is up on the classifieds soon. I am basically waiting to get the chucks before I decide if I want to keep the GG which has only been used to test it out and is now sitting in the little pouch it came with... In the mean time, I have been attracted to this laser mod since I first laid eyes on it... so I want to get one. I guess my best bet is to go for the 901 and use my adapter.

I appreciate the offer to let me use your PV, but it's not neccessary. I have e cig parts falling out of my ears right now, I just want to get away from having to keep buying these cheap stock batteries. Now if we could just find sombody to work in the color chaning LED on the mods... I would be in hawg heaven...

oh, which battery should I get for the laser pointer, it looks like you are out of stock on the 10440, and I definitely want to use protected batteries.

Oh no, I wasn't talking about Chameleon, the batteries with the extension body are being researched at the moment. I know a 14500 1800mah will fit but I want to test the new 17670 1600mah. Both of which are in transit.

I was just referring to one of my personal mods to lend you, that will be sure to last you a full day. :) but beings on how you have an eGo! I think you should definitely be good to go in any case of an emergency. I hear the battery is actually tailored to Janty's needs. I was contemplating on getting one, but not too sure because the power is supposedly weak, meaning only 3.7V.On the plus side the small 10440 will indeed give you 4.2V of power. I have a protected batch in transit to our inventory. Which will be in the upcoming week.

I hear you loud and clear on the GGslim, I did enjoy it at first, because I took it with me to SCarolina for concealment purposes but it's been sitting tucked away ever since. My problem was the 'denting' of the batteries. Due to the ends of a 10440 being as sensitive as they are with added "pushing to activate" mechanism. The lpv's made a very fair substitute for on-the-go,small, and light weight in comparison. Not to mention the button placement.

It's funny, because I'm speaking with another customer about these 10440 batteries in an email at the moment. They are made by Ultrafire and Trustfire brands only at the moment. They both come in protect and unprotected versions. I have a protected batch just about to be in transit on the way over here. I believe Protected mah is more accurate to the 600mah labeling.Currently, I only have knowledge of the the kind displayed in the website and regular batteries that are found in USB pass-through's.

PS. In my upcoming project Infinity, there will be Led's ;)
