I had my last cigarette 2013. Switched to vaping and never looked back. I’ve been vaping long enough to know this is true for me, and that is I haven’t had one major respiratory-related cold/infection/illness since!! I used to get the once or twice a year usual wintertime bad cold and then to continue to cough at least a month more after the worst was over. Sometimes even longer before it went away. I honestly and truly have not had anything since. Non-vapers and non-smokers get respiratory illnesses, it isn’t because of smoking you get one, but if a smoker - it can sometimes take forever for that nagging cough to go away.

I sometimes wonder if something about vaping encapsulates the bacteria or virus and it isn’t able to take hold. I have no other explanation for this. Of course no one will ever do research on this. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this happen too.

Considering that PG is used as an antibacterial preservative in some food products, I can offer a guess that PG vapor slows down the proliferation of bacteria.
My mind leans that way too. I have had much fewer respiratory issues over the last 11 years.
