So now you (Jman8) are actively encouraging people to sub-ohm vape indoors?
Let me rephrase this, I vape almost everywhere I go, and yes I have sub ohmed in places I probably shouldn't like bars and what not, but it's not like the only builds I ever bring out are sub ohmed. I have my squape set up at 1.3 and it works just fine and due to the ease of its use my squape is all I've been using since I've gotten it. It's not like I go out with the intention of baking out the back of the bus.[emoji4]

I hardly ever vape anywhere in public, I just figure your not allowed. But on two occasions when I tried it didn't go over well. Once was at a concert at a roadhouse. I did email before I bought tickets and asked if vapeing was allowed. I was told, sure. That lasted about two seconds. An angry bouncer pounded on my shoulder and said, no smoking! I explained what it was, he just waved his hand in my face and yelled again, no smoking! Just last week I was at a dog park. My friend who vapes as well and myself were sitting alone at a picnic table away from everyone. And this was outside of course. An older lady came over and said, there's no smoking here. My friend politely explained what it was. The woman just said, I hear those are dangerous. Again my friend very politely explained it was perfectly safe. The woman thanked us for the information and walked away. What's odd though, there is no smoking there, but everyone does, without a complaint. And my friend and I were both using box mods, I just wondered how those are mistaken for cigarettes?

I wish I had an interesting story but I don't. Maybe that's a good thing :D

I vape everywhere in public (outside) down here where I live they don't have any smoking laws in parks and such for the most part. I vaped at Wild Adventures, but I stood in the smoking section and no one said anything or ever gave me a weird look.

In a gas station.
I've gotten into it with the little pissant that works there several times on his attitude which is why I gave the response I did.

As soon as I walked in I took a small puff next to the drinks while trying to decide on something. He yells rudely "You can't smoke that in here" I looked at him slowly and said "Shut the .... up" got my drink and proceeded with the transaction.

I don't do this at other stores. Just this one, because the guys a little ....head

I have Never been asked to Stop Vaping in an Indoor Space.

The Reason is because I Ask if it is OK to use and e-Cigarette while Inside someone's Building or Home.

About 70% of the Time I have been Told that they would Appreciate that I Don't. And I am OK with that. And Only One Time has anyone ever been Rude about it.

The One Time was this Lady who Read me the Riot Act about Toxins and Kids "Smoking". I just Smiled and said... "OK"

About 3 Minutes later an Employee came up and Told me don't be Upset. That She is Like that About Just About Everything.

LOL

Generally speaking I am considerate enough to not vape indoors but with that being said I have done it and I have been confronted for it. The last time being inside the VA, waiting impatiently. Cute little nurse told me theres no smoking inside. I showed her my mod and told her it wasn't smoke but I'll put it away.

At a reunion for my wife's high school, smallish convention room, holding about 50 people. I was hitting my Provari all evening, no problem. At around 10pm, an employee approached me and said there was no smoking or vaping.

I said "Why?"

"Err, uhh, because, umm."

"Because it just LOOKS like smoke, right?"

"Thank you for understanding, sir."

In my car infront of a school. School nurse asked, "Is that a cigarette or an electronic cigarette."

I said, "Electronic."

Nurse, "You better stop or I will call the Police."

Me, "Sure."

Really?! Call the police? I am 26 years old. I do not need to be threatened like a child at the school to stop something, yet alone in my own car. Its cool though. For the vapors i respected her wishes. I'm not trying to give vaping a bad rap.

Its_dizzle realy? What right does she have as a school nurse to call the police for doing that in your own car? Local ordinance? Either way I would probably have stifled a threatening response and stopped or stealthed. I know my wife is an er nurse and starting her np degree and fully supports my vapeing other than a few flavors she dislikes. Her opinion of school nurses is not a good one lol

I was at an outdoor water park in a small town. I had a lounge chair in the corner that I was opening vaping the entire day and nobody said a word about it. At closing we were packing our stuff up and had 5 kids with us and a staff member saw my dna30 with a carto tank and said " Sir we don't allow e cigs in here ". I told them I was using it the entire day and not one person complained (well I was also swimming lol).

I shook my head and was kind of irked at this point, took a really long vape as I walked off with my stuff lol. Tired of being clumped in with smokers. Perhaps she thought it was a glass tank (that would make sense I guess) but it wasn't. I go there once every two years so I wasn't worried. The other time I was there I was using a vamo and not a word was said the entire day.

It happened again tonight. There is a bar/restaurant where a friendly poker tournament is held each Tuesday night. I had been going earlier in the year and had asked if I could vape in the bar portion of the place and they said yes. Well the poker tourney takes place there too and had a wonderful night of poker and vape and a few drinks.

Well didn't go for a while cause I was recovering from surgery (hernia) and was told by the wife they had sold the place to some employees and they've kept it the same blah blah blah. Grab a drink at the bar and was to head over to the table and have a kayfun with Nicoticket The Virus on a dna30 clone. Pull it out and take a vape and this women tells me they don't allow them in the restaurant anymore. I'm like since when and it dawns on me....since you #@$#$#@$@$@##@$ bought the joint.

I had a mini freak out, didn't order any food and played the worst poker on purpose so I could get the #$@k out of there.

So tired of being lumped in with smokers. I set up a nice triple twisted 30g 0.9 ohm coil for the occasion tonight. Told my wife that will be my last time going, don't really like the crowd anyways.... a few cool people, but mostly degenerates.

I vape in the car with my straight-edge guitarist. She is actually happy that I'm vaping instead of analogs. Never once have I been asked to stop, but if I was and the person gave me the "uhh..... you know... it.... uhh....." I would politely say exactly and go about my business. My boss at work (food service) even said I could vape in the bathroom. Back when I used to smoke analogs I would call them anti-children devices and smoke in public parks all the time. Not a single word. Vape on.

It wasn't so much that i got asked to stop, but I was sitting at the bar of one of my favorite restaurants. I have cleared it with the manager and staff (of whom ive know most since high school) and vaping isnt a problem. This kid, maybe 12, is sitting at the bar next to me and for the first half of my meal he made no notice of me vaping. But one time after i finished my chicken wings i took a decent hit and blew it out, he started coughing. The bartender, whos a buddy of mine, told his parents that it was an e-cig and it was allowed. the kid says "oh i thought it was a cigar." So i say "Oh so that coughing was fake?" his parents laughed and he got kinda red. Out of common courtesy i didnt vape until i left but that was only about 15 minutes. Made me laugh.

Finally have a story as of last Saturday, my first encounter with this issue. If I had been asked to stop, I would have complied. Instead it went more like this:

At the BWI Airport Amtrak station, waiting for a train, on an outdoor bench at least 30 feet away from any other human who is waiting for same...

Grouchy Old Guy In Socks And Sandals: You know there's no smoking on Amtrak platforms, right?
Me: I'm not smoking...
Grouchy Old Guy In Socks And Sandals: Yeah you are, lady, give me a break.

I had my MVP in my hand at the time, not hitting it or blowing it anywhere near him. Clearly he saw me a few minutes before as he made his trek. He never even slowed down his pace, just went for the "hit and run" ...... encounter and kept right on moving. It really ...... me off, and I had nothing in return, I was so shocked. His MARC train arrived before my train did, and I watched that SOB jump in front of like 8 people to get his ticket scanned. It was surreal.

I guess there really are people like that out and about, and I guess I'm lucky that I've not really had to deal with many of them in my 45 years.

Yes, there are many people out there like that.
I wish I could run into one some day.

But at 6'5" and 240 pounds, they just don't seem to find me.
I guess it's a matter of being hidden in plain sight.

Yeah, that's what it is.

If you read between the lines you can see what I'm saying.
But if I have to spell it out, they are nothing but bullies who were losers in high school.

Nothing like a loser who eventually finds a path to be a socially-sanctioned bully.

Hell yes, DC2. I almost included my first thought, which was that if my very large husband had been with me, that whole encounter would have been a mere "if only" in that .......'s dreams. But I didn't want to sound like a whiny female.

I'd bet you'd have a much better comeback than me, which was NONE. (I did think of saying, "Ignorance is bliss," but only 10 minutes later, as usual. Sigh.) I am, of course, not counting all the choice words that were and still are running through my uncouth brain...

I know exactly what you mean. I am 6'5", 265#, I have had a few people look at me weird while vaping, but no one has ever really said anything to me; other than ask questions....
