At least in this sub-forum. :p

Between the following
devices, will one rise to the top for reliability and consistency?

Ego v
Ego twist
itaste vv/vw 3.0
volt spinner

this is just an entry level adjustable battery I am looking for to use with EVOD heads basically. I know the itaste is vw an that is an advantage, plus the pass thru is a plus as well. Regardless, I am just looking for a consistent performer. i really like the ego v on paper, since it has the display, over the twist and spinner. Would be nice to know how much battery life is left. What I am also wanting is to set it and it deliver consistenly at that voltage. If I have it set for 4.2 and it cannot deliver 4.2, I want it to shut down. I do not want it to deliver 3.7 instead simply because the battery cannot do 4.2. Does that make sense?

TIA :vapor:

I've not used any of the four personally. All four look like they should be a quality battery. The Vision Spinner and Joye Twist have proven their quality over time. The other two are not as popular, but the iTaste comes from Innokin, an innovator company like Vision and Joyetech. I'm not familiar with the eGo V and don't know who makes it.

They look to all be equal in quality. Choose the features most important to you. I will caution that the mAh rating is an estimate of battery use between charges, and is made with the assumption the battery will be used at normal voltage (3.6 volts); using higher voltage (or wattage) will shorten that time somewhat as the battery must regulate for extra power needed. So when it says 600 mah (6 hours), using it at 4.2 volts will cut that time down to about 4.5 - 5 hours.

I started with regular ego 650's they are still running strong 6 hours use before I charge.....I upgraded to Fast tech 1100 spinner knock offs (stores here do not carry spinners or twists due to excessive returns)...still running strong 8 solid hours use at varied voltage before I charge. My friend who bought one with pass tru has had 2 fail (in 6 weeks)....I use a separate FT pass tru (under $6 at FT) while charging batteries.
Mine have all been dropped many times...knocked around in my purse ect.

In my experience, the E-Joy brand of ego's seems to actually last longer than the rest of the ego's out there. Ive bought maybe 40+ of this type form factor in my houshold and we have all experienced the same thing.

Someone will chime in here sooner or later and say that they are all manufactured in China and while this may be true, some are just better than others......Like AW batteries compared to most of the other batteries manuf in China.

The itaste vv/vw 3.0, while I havent owned them, and I do love Innoken products in general, I have read a few posts here on ECF that some were dissapointed in how long they last. Maybe someone will chime in and give you some good hands on feedback on the Itaste.

The itaste vv/vw 3.0 is 800mAH,although a passthrough, the cable is too finicky to use, so look for one that isn't retractable if you do choose this battery (my only complaint with this battery). The battery life is about 3.5-4hrs. I have 2 Vision Spinners 1300mAHs and they are still going strong at 4 & 6 months, they last 6-8hrs, depends on my mood to vape. I chose the spinner over twist because the markings don't wear off like the twists do. My eGO's 1100mAH: one battery lasted 6mo.s and the other is still going but isn't getting the use it once did, lasts 4-5hrs on 1 charge, depending on my vape mood. I don't know anything about the eGO V.

I feel the Spinner and iTaste do a great job in delivery.

Thanks for all your input. I appreciate the help!

My main requirement, aside from adjustability is consistency. What I mean is if I set it to 4.2, I want 4.2 until it shuts off. I don't want it to trail off to 3.3 and then shut off. Will any or all of these fulfill that main requirement?

Thats what they are designed to do..... ( Not sure abiout the ego V, never had one)

Just to clarify; Joyetech makes the original eGo-C Twist, Innokin makes the iTaste vv v.3.

I use evods, drip attys, carto tanks and vivi novas

I own both and they perform about the same. The Twist can suffer a caved in button if dropped, even on carpet, but can still be used. The iTaste doesn't seem to drive as hard, but it has nice extra features. Both last me about the same; I go through 2 a day.

the itaste comes from innokin not kanger , or are they the same company now?

    ok, so I'm looking at

    SID
    ZMax Mini
    Spinner/Twist

I need a 510 for protank and ego for evods.

How much difference in the SID and the ZMAX mini other than size and battery life? I just want to know if the extra expense is worth getting a zmax mini or SID when i can get two spinner/twist for the same cash. Granted, 18350 and 18650 batteries are cheaper in the long run...

If I am running 1.8 ohm wicks, is it even worth it?
