I know this is a typical question in the forums, but the last is a bit outdated considering all the new products. So I was looking to buy a new rda that I could build single, dual or quad coils on? I was looking at the Atomic or maybe a trident, but I hate getting a crappy made clone and it just sits there for looks. What would you recommend or currently use?

I really hate the post screws and slits in the trident v1 and v2. I can't recommend that based on the annoyance.

you can dual coil on any tri post device. you could also quad coil those but some would be easier than others.

if you want to JUST do quad coils, I'd get an RDA with 4 negative posts. would make that a bit easier.

that being said, my absolute favorite RDA is the Magma. Best flavor in a dripper I've had experience with.

I currently go back and forth with my Stillare Clone (best clone I have ever bought) and my TOBH Atty, another great clone. I paid a little bit more, but well worth it. My typical builds will be dual coil 24g 6 wrap on a 3/32 or a twisted 28g same wrap. One of the main reasons I am looking for an RDA that I can do single builds on as well as dual or quad is I just purchased a Cana Mods DNA 30 and from reviews, they all seem to build single coils and base their Vapor and Flavor production from turning up the watts. So no need to lower the ohms as you would with a mech mod since that is the only way to turn up the watts....at least without a KICK.

So the magma has one positive and one negative? It looks like the holes are designed to come right under your build? That is AWESOME! Is that right?

that is the one I have. from the reviews I've seen of those authentic, the clone is actually better. it really is a fantastic device

joined a group buy for the zenith v2 clone. comes with 9 AFC rings and 9 matching drip tips. I'm really interested to try dual mundy magic wire coils. should be interesting

it took me way too long to do dual tiger coils in my stillare clone last night. getting dual dragon coils through that center post is no easy feat. got it down to .3Ω, air flow open like 85%. pretty nice

other dripper I use right now is the quasar. those are like the atomic, but with better air flow

I'm running a mundy magic coil at .7Ω, single coil on my legit hana in my infinite clone Magma. It's fantastic

if I don't have that build in here, I do dual tiger coils in the same RDA

Man that's an awesome setup. I never built Mundy Magic yet. I have done tiger coils but I typically have to run those at a single coil and cover the extra hole with one finger, but it is a nice vape. I bet it would be even better with the DNA 30. Nice Setup Man!! Very Nice!!

I wanted to try and make the Mundy Magic Wire, but I am not sure what type of tool I need to clamp down on the other end (opposite the drill). I saw RiP's video and he sounds like he says "a wire bit", but the transcripts say " a wire yet". And I have never heard of that before. I do have a pair of wire twister pliers, but they are about double the size of what he has in the video. I am trying to see the point in using a tool like that, unless it has something to do with reversing the twists for the second part of making it. Just let me know if you happen to read this. Thanks KurruptSenate.

+1 for the Magma. I received my FT clone very recently and there are only two reasons I would give to not get one

- you dont want to wait over a month to get one, like I did for mine

- you want to cloud chase at the expense of everything else

the clone is identical to the real deal ,both cloners ...there really is no difference other then price

Not quite. Tons of quirks not found on a true DNA, but for the price it is very easy to live with.

Get some of the IGO series. IGO-L for single coils, IGO-W for dual coils, IGO-W3 or IGO-M for quads. All-and-all it'll cost you less than an authentic, and only a 'lil more than a non-FT clone of a popular dripper if you get good prices. Also, I very much vouch the person that said no to the trident... Got a clone in as a trade, the posts spin when tightening down (prolly just a clone problem) but even not counting that it took me a good 5-10 minutes just to trap some dual twisted 28g leads under the positive post -_- They love to pop out of that little slot while you're trying to work that tiny cover on without messing up your coils/leads/etc.

I generally don't like attys that can be built single OR dual OR etc, simply because it seems like something built solely for single or solely for dual (etc) performs better than something built for general purpose. "Jack of all trades, master of none". That being said, there are definitely better ones out there than the IGO's... Just these will let you get a feel of what coil setup YOU like best then find a better atty made for that setup and buy that (or a clone of that :p )
