OK...finally convinced my fiance to try vaping. She actually found a vermilion river juice she likes. Up till now I've been letting her test new juices on my SVP and RSST. To celebrate we went to our local vape shop and I bought her an Ego twist. She wanted to be simple, so I got her some Boge cartos, just drip and vape. Well, she started getting really sore throats. At first I thought she was sensitive to PG. But she was able to vape juices with PG in them before. We were talking today...and got into a discussion about how she latex sensitive, and like a flash it hit me, the insulation grommet in cartos are made of rubber! And we all know how hot those can get. I just gave her a toke off my TOBH atty of some peachwood. The tobh doesn't have rubber for an insulator, it has hard plastic. So we'll see. My question, has this been looked into? Are there any cartos that use non latex silicone grommets?

I am not sure. But I thing the nautilus tanks are sealed with silicone. Sorry, I just looked at the head and it looks like the insulator on the 510 post is rubber.

A lot of stuff uses O rings and I think most of that is silicone but everything must have an insulator on the 510 post. Some attys draw air in through the 510 connector so the air passes close to the insulator. Other attys draw the air from the side so the air does not come in contact with the 510.

usually it's the "latex protein" folks with a latex allergic reaction are reacting to from it's orgin of the rubber tree.

Silicone is a good alternative as you and other's mentioned, most o-rings that I've come across are silicone, you could always replace the ones that are on the mod to make sure.

If you look at the specs of a product it should be in there (or the manufacturer will provide one I"m sure)

I'm sure reading labels isn't anything new to her, bummer that's not a good one to have, rubber/latex is everywhere.

Good luck

My son is latex protein sensitive and he would exhibit some allergy reactions after eating Bananas, Kiwi's, Grapes, Mangos and Watermelons. My son, wife and myself were surprised to learn when this first set in on him years ago that some of these foods he was eating and has always eaten were latex cross reactive. He can only eat these periodically and in limited quantities now without getting reactions. Because he occasionally likes to take a hit off my vapes, he always asks what flavor im running because he knows i'll vape Strawberry, Strawberry Kiwi, Strawbanna juices, he doesn't (nor i ) want to chance a reaction if he were to vape them.
