I just ordered four 18650 batteries from an auction website for $8.50. I was really excited to have found UltraFire 18650 batts for basically $2.00 a battery. I just have to save up and order the LavaTube as soon as I can so that I can get it as cheap as possible. One of the sites I was looking at has already ended the sale. I am hoping I will be able to catch this last sale before its too late! :) The LT (L-Rider) revolution has started! Hopefully these will also drive down the price of US made mods as well. I simply cannot afford the $130 for a 3.7v tube mod, so this VV for $60.00 is great! :)

Not trying to .... in here but I just bought one of the mini lavatubes and really like it. I don't really think this is a device that you can compare to a provari. At the risk of offending someone its sorta like tools. You can buy a Buffalo brand wrench or you can buy an S&K. Both work fine but look in most mechanice toolboxes and I assure you you wont find many Buffalo brand tools. To me it is what it is.......an entry level VV mod. Good price point. Questionable quality depending on which review you read. Perfect for my use at this time but I'm also fully aware that at some point in the future I'll get either a buzz pro or a provari.

Joe all yours are coming with AW IMR's now too right and the kit has two? If so with the trustfire yours is the best price for someone with none of the components; batteries, charger, case, 1 year warranty. If someone wants to buy a smaller kit and has all the components apolloecigs is the lowest price. Basically they are selling their's with one battery, smaller case, smaller charger (keep in car for emergencies). If I had nothing I would have gone with you all.

I received mine from Apollo and I don't have a problem with the charger or the case and if the Vtube has the protection a protected battery would have anyway, I see no real problems. And besides, as long as the little air or flame shoots out of the vent hole before my face explodes, I'm very happy with the battery I received with little complaints. lol. Since I have a ton of 510 cartomizers I really didn't need a larger kit. I could have used an extra battery but I can pick one up the next time I need to purchase some juice, when I've got more money.

Still have to remember that the protected and unprotected Li-ion batts do not have high enough internal current to drive the booster to sustain the the high volt aging for the charge of the battery. The IMR's have the current to hold the voltage across the charge curve longer, not till around 3.5v on the battery charge will it lose the current to drive the booster.

The walls of the lavatube are made of light aluminum and they are painted back with quality paint, just like all the other colored mods available in the US. The bottom cap screws in very smooth. The only thing that I dislike is the way the buttons feel loose. They just feel very loose and my particular lavatube, the + voltage button is set into the device further than the - voltage button. The atomizer to battery connection is a brass color. The juice well is functional in that it will catch excess juice. Because the atomizer connection is raised, sucking the atomizer will not suck the juice back into the atomizer, which is OK because you will not get excess juice leaking into the device. The LCD screen lights up a bright red. I like it very much and I think anyone would.
