Lavatube Different Names this has got to be the worst !!!

I know that the Lavatube goes by lots of different names !! Just seen the worst its on the TW Forum they have called it the Torpedo,I cant work out how to copy and paste the Pics but they have dropped a big one here, the words on the device look like TorPEDO !!!!!!!!!

But I believe that L-Rider holds the Intellectually/Patent Rights for it.

As to the name. “Lavatube” is just a Registered Trademark of Volcano e-Cigs. It’s a Classic example of “1st Branding”.

Volcano makes a deal with the OEM to be the First Retailer to offer this Product. They are granted the Right to Re-sell the Product under their Registered Trademark for a certain amount of time Before others can Brand it and then Re-sell it under their name/names.

It’s Good for the OEM because they get a Lump Sum of Cash Up Front for the Limited Time Exclusive. It is Huge though for the Retailer.

This VVPV will Always be referred to as a Lavatube. And to many people. Everything else is seen, to some people, as some kind of Knock-Off or Inferior.

But it also can have a Down Side. And that is when there is a Problem like Fake AW IMR batteries. Volcano took all the Heat from Angry Buyers but they didn’t Provide the batteries in the Kit. They just slapped a Shipping Label on the Kits they got from the OEM and then sent them down the road to their customers.

So now the Volcano’s Right to be the Only One selling this VVPV has pasted and you will see this VVPV Popping up all over the Internet under Many Different Names.

Lavatube is only the name given to mods sold from Volcano Ecigs in America. They have exclusive rights to this mod in the US so far. I also ordered one from Portugal, from 2smok. They have theirs branded as the ThunderVolt. No matter where you buy from so far, all Lavatube mods are made by L-Rider Technologies in China. The Lavatube, ThunderVolt, Torpedo, etc. are all the same mod but have been redbranded. If you search L-rider on alibaba.com you will see their items on wholesale for around $32. Unfortunately, price wise, you cannoorder these straight from L-Rider if you live in the US. My ThunderVolt even had L-Rider Technology Co, Ltd printed on one corner of the box.

Just ordered my Lavatube (RED). I have been using the ego for the past 13 months and just wanted to step into the higher voltage arena. Im excited about trying... hope all the hoop-la is worth it. Im really expecting different throat hits and vapor from the 4 to 5 volt range. I didn't realize that other vendors are re-labeling and re-packaging the lavatube like the Torpedo Stick. I am sure that they all come from China.

Totally wicked is very into "branding". If you buy a atty it has there little devil guy on it. Who knows why they do it, but its common. I doubt they are the fake batteries, as TW is a fairly reputable company, but I can't say for certain.

I hope it isnt on the actual item, I wouldn't be seen dead using it if it was.
