Yes a tank will help you with this as it keeps the carto soaked.

Another important thing with carto's is making sure they are completely soaked to start with. Otherwise they burn
I usually left mine (even in a tank) for a couple of hours before using just to be sure the liquid had gone everywhere.

Nowadays I vape an Odysseus rebuild-able atomizer-tank but thats a different thing altogether.

Once you put a tank on that LT you'll never go back to dripping and dealing with leaks. The advantage of the tank is you never have to fiddle around with anything, just fill and go. The flavor, TH and vapor ouput is awesome. It's about as close to smoking as you can get. I use to drip until I got the tank and I'll never drip again, other than to test flavors.

If you fill the carto correctly you'll never have that burnt tatse and thats another advantage. You would use DCT cart 1.5 ohm for use below 4.2 volts. 3.0 cart for use all the way up to 6. Make sure you get the stainless steel carts. I use Smoke Tech carts.

I would recommend trying a variety at first. 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 just to get a feel for them. For me, I like the SmokTech Dual Coil Cartomizer Tanks (DCCT or DCT) because they are simple and easy. Check out MadVapes, they have a great variety of carto's and tanks for a good price. I personally like the 2.5's in dual and single depending on the juice.

I agree totally.. I just got my lavatube, so still playing around with it but the best hit I've found yet is a 3.2(maybe 3.0?) dual coil carto in a 3.5ml tank at about 4.7 volts. The best thing is to get a couple of each, different kinds, so you can test them all and see what YOU like best. Everyone raves about 1.7 low res cartos in a tank on the KGO but for some reason that doesn't seem to do it for me. Just a 1.7single coil on my KGO is very good, but dual coil,,, not so much. It's all a matter of personal preference... any carto 2.0 and up should work just fine on the lavatube.

I guess I just don't know how to fill them right. I seems that I had to keep adding drops just like I was dripping or I would get the nasty dry taste. Is that right? That was a while ago. Now tanks came out it should fix that right. Now dual or single? I hear both. What's the pros and cons? If its just preference than I'll have to get a crap load of them.

I haven't decided yet between single or dual coil on my lavatube. I think duals will work better on the lt than on my KGO, like maybe the KGO doesn't have enough power for the dual coils?? I'm no expert, I just know I like singles better on the KGO. time will tell about the lavatube. You should not have to keep dripping in that carto,, I think you got a bad one.

I wouldn't use a dual coil on the LT. It reads it as a 1.5ohm carto and cranks the voltage way down below what a DC carto really needs. Stick to single coil 2.5 to 4 ohms. You can get the full range of voltage on a 3 or 3.5ohm carto.

As for tanks, I'm partial to the Vision Stone 3 from Gotvapes. It doesn't use a carto. It uses a CE2 type cup/coil. The innards are replaceable for about $3 and to fill it you just unscrew the cap and pour the juice in. No muss, no fuss. The one I'm using now as my main vape has lasted over a month so far with no sign of burning out. To change flavors, you just rinse it out with hot water and let it dry (or not). Fill it back up and vape on. It holds about 3.5-4 ml and there's no filler to burn or to dry out or to add any funky flavors. Plus, it looks cool as hell and fits the LT like a glove. The one I have meters out to 2.4ohms, which is slightly on the low side, but it's a vapor machine at about 4-4.5V or so. There's no need for me to take it up to 5 or 6V. Highly recommended. I've tried a lot of tanks and they're mostly just a big pain in the ...., especially for thicker juices. I'm done with slotting and enlarging holes and all that nonsense.

Can you post a pic of your LT with it. I like it.

I saw a youtube video the other day by a guy called "Kensmancave" IIRC. He showed how to easily clip a wire in a DC carto and effectively turn it into a single coil 3ohm carto. You might want to check it out if you don't have anything else a DC will work with.

At first, I liked cartomizers. But then I didn't like them because they get clogged, and/or burn out and don't last very long.

I still wanted to use a tank, but I didn't want to go back to regular atomizers. Around the same time I started trying CE2's.

Now I just use CE2's with a tank. I buy XL CE2's cut the sleeve off with a pipe cutter and use them in my DC tank.
