Right, so the bad news is the new cartridge has now started leaking fluid into my mouth again after 2nd refill.

But the GOOD news is that Ecirette have been really quick to get back to me with the following statement:

"Dear Susan,
I'm very sorry to hear you're having trouble with your LEA kit. In my opinion the problem is the atomizer, so I will send you a replacement atomizer and 1 box of cartridges.
Please let me know how you getting on with the new atomizer.
Again, I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience".

I'm really impressed with how quick and helpful they have been. I really hope this solves the problem and that VincentG gets as good a responce from his suppliers :)

Good luck Vincent, I'll let you know if the new atomizer works

Hi Guys,

innokin was one of the addresses I emailed as I have seen the LEA largely associated with them on line and the Boge Tech site seems to be shut down. I got the following reply today:

"Dear Susan ,

Thank you kindly feedback .

Vaporium.ca carrying boge Lea ,seems this Lea is produce by Boge instead of innokin , Innokin and Boge are not same company , Lea is original produced by innokin .

The leakage problem seems either boge lea atomizer or cartridge have airflow problem , maybe tank atomizer airflow is problem , so you need drag hard and get liquid into mouth .

Any questions or assistance please let us know freely

Best regards,

George Xia

I thought others might find this info useful. Nice of them to help since they say it's not their project.

Hello Susan,

vaporium.ca answered my email and we agreed that the atomiser might be the problem. They've sent me a new atomiser with new tank cartridges. I've just received my package an hour ago. I installed the atomiser and also noticed that the tank cartridges were different than the original ones. They have a different tone of transparent plastic, more white, and also pre-perforated... So after installing the new type of cartridge, I started vaping, but quickly, the first cartridge went empty, but there was no leaks from the air intake holes under the atomiser... So here I am, I have been vaping for an hour now, no leaks, but the tank cartridge is already empty... I am wondering if the atomiser has some internal tank that could have drank the whole cartridge... I'll keep you updated is I see any leak...

Thank you for your answers,

Vincent

Hi Vincent,

Thanks a million for the update. I received a replacement atomizer yesterday with a pack of new cartridges. I noticed that the cartridges are packaged differently in a silver coloured plastic unlike the original ones which are packed in a clear plastic. I thought nothing of it and started to use them last night. I used it all day today. The airflow is fine with no leaks so far, WooHoo. I seem to be refilling it a lot though. I was wondering if I had been vaping way more than usual but then I read your post... So it's not just me then :)

After reading your post I checked the seal on a fresh cartridge from the new batch, and you are right, they are pre-perforated. I hadn't noticed myself. I do not see a significant different in colour, though my new cartridge has not blackened in colour as much as the old ones did. I also noticed that the new batch are shorter than the old ones. Could it be that they just don't hold as much and that is why we need to keep refillin??? I will have to measure how much they hold. Are your cratridges the same size?

I opened a fresh cartridge from the old batch and a fresh cartridge from the new batch to compare. I've photographed them to show you, old batch with packaging on the left and new on the right of this pic.

It seems we might be receiving goods from the same batches or something. I thought you might be interested to know that my work colleague saw my LEA and decided to purchase one for herself the same week that you and I got ours and she is having the same leaking problem. Interestingly I haven’t heard of anyone else who has, so perhaps it is a problem with a particular batch.

Thanks for keeping me posted.

Sue :)

Hi Vincent,

Thanks for keeping me posted.

Sue :)

Hello again Sue,

despite my faith in my BOGE TECH LEA, all the eliquid that disappeared in the atomiser ended up leaking through the air intake holes some hours after I wrote you my last post. In despair, I wrote back to Vaporium.ca to Sylvain Longpré, their operation V.-P., to express my concerns about the LEA tank system reliability and the possibility that it might not be a viable concept. He suggested a replacement with a CE4 (Stardust) tank with an eGO battery. He said it should solve the leaking problem once and for all.

I've been reading on the CE4, and it seems quite a reliable tank. I was a bit deceived to let go my LEA since it first appeared as a cool and discrete concept, but since I could not achieve a leak-proof experience with this eCigarrette, I see no reason to keep this one.

For your interest, the replacement tank cartridges they've sent me were the same size, not smaller than yours, but as mentionned before, whiter and preperforated, but since it didn't change much with the leaking problems, it revealed being useless.

I should receive my eGO+CE4 tommorow. I hope to experience that leak-proof experience I have been expecting from the beginning. I must again praise Vaporium.ca for providing me with an excellent customer support and real quick solutions to problems I encountered.

Thank you for your update also Sue,
Hope to hear from you soon,

VincentG
