hoping you are all vaping very well,
okay, i have read long discussions and hard ones about the same and really came out with no real direction.
i have started a plan to purchase rda. i am getting tools and coils .....but shocked by lead or no lead.......
.......................
after smoking ( more than 4000 chemicals rubbish ) it is never feasible to wonder about lead, however why not to keep away from lead if possible.
...................................................
2 ways i am going further search:

is there any good cloned rda dual coils?

if i have to go to fasttech, did any body ask them themselves about this issue?
...............................
i wondering with no intention to have the same long discussion, as i know it. however any practical experienced view is most welcomed.

I think the op is actually questioning the use of chromed brass in attys as Brass can contain lead.

I actually do not have an answer. There is supposed to be a way to treat brass to effectively remove the surface lead but I will be danged if I remember how. Something about peroxide and lemon juice.

I just am not worrying about it. I doubt I am getting enough lead from my attys to cause a problem at my age.

There was a good thread dismissing some concerns, especially if the brass is plated.

Yes Myrany, it was some sort of concoction that you "pickle" the parts in to clean the surface areas of parts.

i tried my best to find but, luck, could you refer to it.........................thanks in advance

Do you need a clone?
If you're really so worried about it, get the real thing! Then you know what material is in your device.
Igo's are a good choice for single or dual coil, I love mine. Is there brass in there? I don't know! But I'm not going crazy from lead poisoning.

Worry more about the s... That they're putting in your food! BGH in your meat or whatever Monsanto is doing to your veggies. That's doing more damage to you than any amount of brass on your atty!
Oh, and don't forget to use purell on your hands every 15 seconds!

My point is, don't worry about what the fearmongers are posting. There are real dangers out there that you could be spending your time on, if you really want to!
Happy vaping.

foremost thanks for your advise........ however, i said i am not a fearmonger :vapor: at all in my first post. i was a smoker of more than 4000 chemicals...... so no point of fear, and as you said food, water, air,........ HOWEVER, if you can not achieve it all, do not leave all...... this my believe. ;)

no harm of doing some discussion, investigation and search to get the best possible. if i will conclude with whichever clone, i will go without hesitation............ UNLESS you do not want me to discuss it :D :D

i am digging here mean while chasing FT to answer me about the same. if i find other way i will do. it is never a point of fear ...... it is only there is a way to avoid .... fine, if no way so no way.

Wow, They still use lead in water pipes in the UK?
They did in 1920 when this house was built. I occasionally wonder whether to replace them, but we're all grown up and they run under the only access to the house. It would be an expensive mess.

Here's a spreadsheet to investigate the maths: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/96640124/lead leaching from atomisers.xls
As close as I can figure it, we are well under the workplace exposure limit that triggers health monitoring. Even if the whole tank is made of brass, we consume all the available lead and replace the whole thing every month.

Where a brass faucet only leached 35ug of lead and then no more.

For the most part, if you are concerned about anything you inhale from vaping, you might NOT want to do any research on the air quality in your city....that would probably downright terrify you.

That said I would try to stay away from chrome plated brass. Chrome can flake off and while I am not concerned about any "chemicals" that might be in vapor, I do not wish to inhale tiny chrome flakes.

Actually from what I recall it's the chrome plated that want if your RDA is made of brass. That is if you want to be paranoid about the brass in RDA's in the first place...

No, it was a rather long and older thread, but that blog touches up on pretty much most of it. I do remember breweries being sighted as an example. Good blog.

The search function can be a bit frustrating here... I looked for it, and usually find things on ECF easier using plain old google, but couldn't find it for the life of me...

What I walk away with is that it really isn't anything to be worried about; but I can understand why it'll come up every few weeks/months being asked about by somebody...
