I've tried every fill combination imaginable except seringe; new carts, swinging the thing before vaping, rolling in my hands etc I just can't come close to the savor and draw feel of a prefilled cart; that makes no sense. After all, in China they are filling these manually! I bought about a dozen bottles from V4L and I am a little depressed at the idea that I just don't get the satisfaction of equivalent prefilled.

Leaford can we entice your help in determining the best way to replicate the vape quality of a prefill?

Others in the know please chip in!

Thanks in advance.

Jm, the secret, no matter what refill method you use, is practice, practice, practice. ;)

There's a learning curve. When I first started using cartomizers it took me WEEKS before I could refill them reliably. And then when I switched from the LTv9 cartos to the VK cartos I went through it all over again.

But for the record, the factories all use the syringe method.

One thing I have discovered is that cleaning and drying them thoroughly helps quite a bit. Once a cart is spent, most people just let them sit around for a while before they refill them. The remaining juice dries up into a goo.

Cleaning them using a variety of methods from boiling water to grain alcohol, to ultrasonic cleaning and then letting them dry completely seems to remove all the goo and burnt taste.

I refilled 10 carts after thoroughly cleaning and another 10 without cleaning. I kept them separated in my stash. Everyone of the cleaned ones vaped as if they were new. I was able to get an average of 32 drops in each using dripping and spinning.

The ones that were refilled without cleaning were hit and miss. Some were pretty good, some just OK, others simply lousy and burnt tasting. Most old-timers say they clean their carts at least every other refill. Also, I decide to always leave the condoms on the carts after they are spent to deter them from drying out and costing me a premature cleaning cycle.

Of course, all this cleaning, drying, and refilling takes a significant amount of time versus the quick and dirty "Condom Cap Refill", but it is really a kick when you can pull out a refill that costs you $0.50 and it vapes like a $2 newbie.

On the other hand, I am sure that cart performance will diminish over time even with cleaning.

Yuck, too messy for me. I much prefer the drip/spin

Do you have a link to a video for the drip/spin method? I had no idea you could get 32 drops in a cart but I've only been messing with one for a couple days. I had planned on using the condom method I saw last night on a video.

Any suggestions are welcome!

:)
