Unscrew the atty, blow it out (wait til its cool!!) - put your lips round the ruond part and just blow into a paper towel. Then wipe it, and use another paper towel lightly on top of the cart to soak up any excess juice. The reattach everything - should be fine.
I flood mine all the time  so yeah..its easily fixed lol

DC2,
What filler do you use?
That answer depends on when you ask me.
:D

I started with the standard polyfill but it didn't wick fast enough for me.
I tried the Pyramid tea bags (PTB) but that was way too hard to deal with.

Then I went with the blue foam and believe that it works very well.

But still I switched to the ADP mod with a spring and a plug of polyfill.
Using only a third of the polyfill as a plug solved some of the issues, so that was good.

I have now come to believe that the polyfill somehow interrupts the flavor of my juice.
So my plan is to try a blue foam plug with my ADP spring mod next.

But right now I am strictly dripping using my Direct Drip Cart (DCC) mod.
It may be awhile before I get motivated enough to go cut some pieces of blue foam for a plug.
:)

I believe a common error in attaching the cart after refilling (topping off) is to blame (I was doing this quite often myself for the longest time and just figured it was the nature of the beast and was part of maintenance)....

It was pointed out by another newb on here (sorry, I don't remember who), that when re-assembling the cart to the atty to make sure when you "final seat" the cart that you "don't" have your thumb (or any other finger for that matter) covering the mouthpiece hole !!

Personally I thought "no way", but after trying it (and wrapping my head around why), it seems to make all the difference in the world, both with having excessive liquid on the atty to battery treads, as well as that often "gurgling" or juice in the mouth issue.

So it appears that if you do happen to give that final push on of the cart while blocking that hole, that it is pressurizing it and "forcing" air (and essentially the liquid) through the atty, as well as into the air passage of the mouthpiece (leaving it quite possible to getting liquid in your mouth).

So, since hearing this and paying attention to my own process of reloading, I have found I no longer have this issue. However, an occasional wipe here and there is still needed, but far less than I was experiencing before.

Hope that helps......

I have found then when a recently filled cart is placed in, I do not lay my unit (510) flat I keep it vertical tip down, then after vaping a few times I will place it vertical tip up to allow good "wicking"

If you place it vertical tip up too early, too much juice goes everywhere.

Took me a week or so to fugure this out, but after a few hits the liquid is thinner and wicks better. When the unit and the liquid is cool the wicking process is slowed down.

Just my 2 cents

This is awesome! I too had begun accepting the fact that i'll have juice on my hands at all times, but this helps 90% of the prob. Greg, may i suggest posting this as an individual post?

I use the ZFM mod with my 510, and get less frequent leaks than with the stock poly filler, but not zero leaks. So add ZFM to DC2's list of possible cart mods that might help. It seems that it is simply the cart delivering too much liquid to the atty at once. Or the atty has grown too weak to vaporize the liquid well. But even with ZFM, I got into the habit of carrying a paper towel with me to wipe up little accidents, although they are far less often than before.
