Okay, so I've been using a couple VPX tanks for some time now with no issues, lately I've been having flooding problems, I've tried slots, holes etc, my question is, could the problem here be the inner O-rings? I noticed a chunk of rubber floating in my tank and figured I'd nicked it with the carto. It seems like a really small nick out of the inner O-ring, could this be causing my flooding problems?

Thanks

There's a good chance that by slotting the carto instead of punching it caused the leak. When you slot a carto and push it through the caps....It could damage the inner orings because of it's sharp edge. Try changing the oring. Also, it's good practice to use a small tapered drip tip when pushing the carto through the caps....It really prolongs the ice of the inner orings....not to mention makes it easier to push through.
Here's what I use.
510 Black Delrin Drip Tip type A

The only other thing that would cause a leak would be if you slotted it or punched it too deep, piercing the air passage. Get yourself a quality punch....They are worth every dime.

Good Luck

Yes. Rubber in tank = nicked o-ring. Buy a couple boxes of o-rings in the sizes you need inside and out for your tank. Replace your o-rings anytime you think they might be nicked. Also, when inserting a new cart, leave the rubber mouthcap that comes with it in the carto, it will ease the carto through the tank's top cap without nicking anything.
