I finally, after 4 days needed to recharge my eGo battery. When I took the battery off their was liquid in it probably from the atomizer?

Will this damage the battery, or charger for that matter. I did not plug it in as I am waiting for it to dry while I use my other battery. What should I do? Does this happen to anyone else?

This eGo seems to be a somewhat leaky device eh? It also leaks in-between the cartridge and the atomizer underneath the cone... Anyone?

Thanks.

Mine is a 510 with an ego type 650mha battery (not Joy) and had a little bit on the top that I just wiped and recharged.
Manual batteries should be sealed so that any leaks won't get inside and short things out. I think it may be that the cone
holds moisture but not real sure. One of the guru's will probably get on board and explain more but in the meantime, vape happy :)

There can be a couple of reasons for moisture to accumulate in the cone on an eGo. Overfilling and leaking is probably the most common cause. Another reason could be condensation. Either one will not harm a manual battery, simply wipe off the excess moisture and it'll be ok. Overfilling when using an automatic can cause problems. Liquid which gets inside the switch mechanism can cause malfunction.

As long as you remove the fluid, you should not see an issue. There is two things to be worried about.

1) One would be the accumulation of particulates. This can cause a bad connection and reduced performance.

2) corrosion. Lithium Ion batteries, although common, need to be respected. Especially when, if things go horribly wrong, its placed in a funnel that is targeted directly at your lungs.

By some Q-tips. Whenever you charge your battery, wipe out the connections with the qtip. Youll probably see some black/orange stuff on the qtip every time you do this. Stay on top of the maintenance and youll have no issues.
