Hi Guys
So I've been analog-free for 5 weeks now, some record for me after smoking on and off but mostly on for 30 years. My biggest mistake, and maybe some newbies can learn from this and not make the same mistake, was focussing on my nicotine addiction above anything else. The first few weeks were terrible. How much should I be vaping? Am I getting enough nicotine? Why am I still craving a stinky? Am I getting too much nicotine? Is 18mg liquid too strong? Maybe I should go down to 9mg? No, I can't stand the cravings, let me go back up to 18mg. Worry, worry, worry. This plus the general anxiety of "stopping smoking" caused me to work myself up into a real old state. Until I suddenly stepped back and asked myself: where did the enjoyment go? I always enjoyed smoking, why am I now in such a state? This is more interesting, much healthier, I have so many fantastic flavours to choose from, why am I not enjoying it? I immediately switched my focus away from addiction to enjoying vaping, the joy of upgrading to a better device, discovering flavours that really work for me, the convenience of being able to vape in the car, at home, everywhere. And you know what? The nicotine addiction looked after itself. I'm still on 18mg juice and will stay there for a while, anything lower don't satisfy my cravings and I'll rather vape less on stronger liquid that all the time on weaker liquid and still not be satisfied. I'm not worried about dropping nicotine levels, I just want to enjoy my vaping. So life is beautiful again and I'm looking forward to the next part of the journey!
Thanks for listening.
Chris
