Learn From My Newbie Mistake - The CRACKLE

Tools Used: 1 VisionSpinner VV & Evod ClearTank

So Ive been stressing over this little problem....

Sometimes when I vape, I hear a nice crackle. Other times, its very muted with almost no crackle. I know that when I hear a nice crackle, my vapes are much better. So why do I get a crackle and sometimes no-crackle?

Trying to figure things out, I would adjust the VV on my VisionSpinner. Sometimes it fixed the problem, sometimes it didnt. ...?
I would also try re-filling the tank. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt.
I tried cleaning the wick/coils... sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt.
I tried charging the battery... sometimes it worked and sometimes it didnt.

About 5 minutes ago I was getting crackle on one vape, and no crackle on the other. 2xWTF?

THEN IT HIT ME.............

I WAS COVERING THE LITTLE VENT HOLES ON THE tank WITH MY FINGERS WHEN PUSHING THE BUTTON.

I had no idea about the vent holes and didnt realize they were there. I thought they were decoration! lol

MORAL OF THIS STORY.....

If your vapes arent working right, check to make sure you arent finger blocking the little holes at the bottom of your tank.

I know this may sound basic to most but, to a newbie who doesnt know better this could be an issue causing poor vapes.

Learn from my silly mistake and mind where your fingers are when pushing the vape button.

Actually, using those little airholes as carburetors can help you manage the airiness of your draw and the quality of your vapor.

Just like the carburetor on a combustion engine, if the draw is the same and there's less air, there's more liquid being fed to the "spark." If there's more air, there's less liquid. You can manage the mix by when and how long you cover an airhole (or two) when taking a drag.

It won't take long for most people to figure out the right technique and like anything else we do that is pleasurable, technique is very important.

Thats a great explanation.

Now I will start playing the holes like a flute to "fine tune" my vapes.
