I had to do ALOT of searching on ebay, finally found someone selling the S1 model (the S2 models will ONLY work for multiple batts) with the led readout instead of the buzzer, out of hong kong, so I gotta wait awhile to get it through the mail...
Two problems, it isn't usually just the LED segments you need a driver also like an LM3914 and a few other parts. Together they are pretty big. The other problem is that most drivers won't work down too low, like 4.5V, so you also need to think about a boost regulator, now you're talking about a royal pita and will more than likely need a PCB. It would be easier to just use a comparator and watch for a minimum voltage and light an LED when the voltage gets below a certain point. You can find 10 segment LED bricks on fleabay for $2, pcb for $5, LM3914 $2, other parts needed $5, then you'll have to figure out how to get it working.

good job! thats the one to get!!!! i have at least 5 units lost in my moding mess. i wanna make 2 vv box, make a replaceable coil out of a joye carto like LGDuck was playing with, play with my suckaton and same joye carto... but im just too lazy...
the 306 are alright as expected. i really liked the joye cartos. the coil is easy to access and you can change the filler if you're not on the mood to mod it. i think it'd work great on the suckaton!!

If you search ebay for 1s 6s lipo and 2s 6s lipo a variety comes up. (sort from lowest to highest price).
Some units say they may not display below 4.7 volts others say they go down to 3.7.

You need a S1 for it to work right. S2 are meant for 2 batteries. bad thing is it seems there is only one listing on ebay right now for a s1 without the buzzers. So far i found a place i can get them in china but the minimum order is 30 of them. I guess if enough people show interest i might just get a batch of them.
Be careful of the description and listing of those things. Suppliers are using the same verbiage for the tester, but when they actually check it to make sure it will detect ONE cell.....it won't. I've contacted 3 sites and all three changed their site to reflect it's actually a 2s detector. I'm sure there are 1s out there, but have the site actually verify it's a 1s before you order.

I used a lm3914 but its a dip package, a little large but i managed to fit it into my var volt 3xAA box mod. For a simple battery meter you can stick a 1k resistor on a 3.7 volt mod with led and watch the brightness.
I will more then likely get the 30 of them as long as shipping is not too bad. Still no word back from the manufacturer. I imagine it will take a bit of time. I am not even going to worry about the ones on ebay they are already bidded up. with a couple days left they will go alot higher i am sure. I will post back for sure when i hear back from China.
I thought I found another one but it was for 2+ cells so I removed the post....

I'm confused (as always) if the 1S does all the voltages we are intrested in - why go with the 2S?
