Leftover juice smell and taste after cleaning tanks?

I clean all my tanks and could with hot to warm water. But whenever I vape them again I get the taste of a leftover juice I just tried to clean out. Like cinnamon or a energy drink such as monster. Is if more effective to clean it with everclear to get a deeper clean than just hot or warm water? And if not what's a more effective way of killing the leftover taste? I've tried dry burning and to a degree I can still taste the old flavor.

Some flavors are worse than others. But I always rinse tanks with cold water real well first. Warm or hot water seems to imbed the flavors in tanks more so than cold does. After a good cold rinse then use warm for a clean up, or whatever you choose

A soak in Isopropyl alcohol is a great way to get rid of that linger.

Plastic tanks and o-rings will hold on to strong flavors. If using flavors like the ones you mentioned-it is best (plastic tanks) to have dedicated tanks for those flavors. Having spare o-rings is a must also, even with glass tanks.

Are you talking about tank or coil? I wash my tanks with hot water. Glass won't absorb taste/flavor.

The best advice I can offer is to do the following:

Disassemble and rinse in warm water
Soak in 100 Proof Vodka for 30 minutes minimum...Cheap is fine. Just make sure it is 100 Proof.
Rinse well in hot water
Shake out any loose water and then let sit to dry
Drying may take 24 hours
Refill and enjoy!
