In fact, the flavored cigarettes that were banned by the FSPTCA in 2009 accounted for <.1% of the US cigarette market,
and the vast majority of those banned flavored cigarettes were clove cigarettes (from Indonesia), which were smoked by Indonesian immigrants (not children) in the US. Meanwhile, menthol cigarettes (which CTFK, ACS, AHA, ALA agreed to exempt from the flavored cigarette ban) account for 30% of the US cigarette market share.

Now Legacy, CTFK, ACS, AHA, ALA etc are making the same false claims about flavored cigars, smokeless tobacco and e-cigarettes as a strategy to ban those products.

Well being in the age group observed in this study, I can tell you I would still be smoking if ecigs didn't have the variety of flavors they currently do. Also, one of the major reasons why minors buy/use flavored cigars is to roll their "plant" in. Very few are actually smoking them for tobacco.

I've never understood why NRT's are allowed to have flavored gums, plus no age restrictions on purchase OTC that I have been able to find. But because ecigs aren't an NRT all of a sudden flavors are bad and adults don't want them. /boggle

You have to understand that tobacco products are dangerous and must be sold behind the counter. Where the flavored NRT nicotine products can be set out on shelves where anyone can get to them. Very simple logic.

Exactly, because nrt products are made by pharmaceutical companies, and their products are 100% safe.
