Legit Check Sony VTC5's with Same Serial

Hey guys, I recently purchased these VTC5's from a vape shop and I came across sun-vapers article on how to spot a fake sony battery. I noticed both batteries have the same serial number? I was wondering if that is common. I'm almost 60% sure its fake because sunvapers said that the serial numbers should not be aligned, yet a bit staggered. Just wondering if I should pull the trigger on tossing them out and getting VTC4s because I heard those are true 30amp batteries anyway.

I can't see your letting very clearly in that picture but here are some shots of a genuine VTC5...



The numbers you see are the model number, batch, and date codes so they can be the same. Especially for two batteries bought at the same time.

Ahh...I see now. The UL logo on the right is up too high on your batteries. Yea, those could be fakes.
VTC4's are great batteries. The VTC5's are 20A batteries and will get dangerously hot at 30A.

Thank you so much for the information and pictures. I'm actually on my way to buy new authentic VTC4s. I couldn't notice if the batteries were warming up because it was in a box mod.
