Really? I used the out-of-box build for a couple weeks, and last night I put on a .2 Ohm Ni200 build with rayon wick for TC on my Snow Wolf. I havent got a dry hit yet, in either format. I use 50/50 juice too. You might try a rayon wick. I don't like it much (sorry rayon builders), or maybe I'm just used to cotton, but it wicks like the dickens. The phut noise is-- IMHO, no scientist here-- is juice from the last hit condensing on the chimney/drip tip walls and dripping back down onto the coil, thus leaving it overloaded until it vapes off, partly; and partly because the huge chimney breathes so freely you notice it more. I think the same happens in your kayfun, but the draw's so tight it can't get out. In my experience it doesn't happen on the second and subsequent hits while chaining. I kind of like it, myself; part of the tank's personality. That 6mm chimney hits like a cannon, but there's a price for it.

Honestly, that's the first complaint I've heard about the tank. It's not for everybody, breathing like it does, but if you like free draw I've never seen a better this side of a cloud blowing dripper. It's freer than my drilled-out Foggers. I like it so much, I may change my dual coil religion. You can spend more for a tank, but why? Anyway, good luck with it. Try putting a fresh build in it, see if that fixes it.

+1 to above by suprtrkr.
I have yet to build and Engage my new Lemo 2 (plan to do so Saturday morning early after the 26 ga Ti comes in Friday) but have watched a TON of Reviews and Tutorials on the Tank as well as read another TON her on ECF.
From all Sources, IF you are experiencing Dry Hits or Flooding, it's a Direct Effect of incorrect Wicking. Period.
From ALL Sources, IF wicked properly, there are Zero Issues with this thing.
I plan to use good old Yankee Organic Cotton and do the "Horseshoe" or Flaired & Fluffed Wick Procedure where the bottom of the Flaired Cotton Wick barely overlaps onto the floor of the Deck (not into the Flow Channels themselves) and goes full side to side from Post Riser to Post Riser. Then Prime (not too little-not too much) with Liquid. I also saw where one Dude (a Russian maybe?) swears by then poking a "gap" in the Flaired Wick directly over the Flow Channels to make sure the Juice (especially high VG) gets up into the Coil/Wick Chamber. May or may not go that far with it. Who am I kidding,,, Of Course I will to err on the side of Caution and Prudence.
Again, doing that has never resulted in a Wicking or Flooding Issue from all I have seen and read.

P.s. Can also be a result of, or compounded by, the lower Tank O-Ring getting pinched into one or both of the Flow Channels partially blocking. Don't over-tighten the Tank Top and then look down into it to confirm no malformation into those Channels. I plan to watch that as I am tightening the Top Cap to see what's going on and confirm.
That "pinching" can also cause a Leaking Issue from around the lower Tank Assembly where the Glass meets it if over-tightened.

Hope that helps.
And, I agree suprtrkr.... Just say No to Rayon (synthetic Junk) :pervy:
Just messin with the Synth-heads out there. It's All Good :thumb:

When getting dry hits, the culprit can usually be the cotton wicking. Make sure you are not using too much cotton. Roll your cotton wicks before placing through the coil. The wick needs to slide through the coil with only slight resistance. Always fluff up the ends of your wick after placing it in the coil (think of a squids tentacles) before tucking it under and onto the deck. We need also remember that cotton expands, and so will have to plan accordingly. Some thing that might really help is not blocking the juice channels with the wick (this one really helped with my Billow v2 as well).

I was having the same problem as you, until I realized my wicking was the culprit, and these tips made the biggest difference in the world.

+1 to @Hitcat44. I read somewhere, if you stick a small screwdriver tip or piece of coil wire down in the juice channels before stuffing the wick down in the barrel, then priming the wick with juice before removing them, the channels will stay unblocked. Never tried it because I don't have wick issues, so FWIW.

To stop getting dry hits on your Lemo or Lemo 2 or any other RTA try this. It works great. On the Chimney , Cut slots or drill holes on both sides above the juice channels on the barrel and pack cotton to seal up the holes. Here's a couple of pics.

With a hole that big do you have problems when filling it? I dremeled the bottom of the chimney on mine and it works great now.

I think the biggest problem with the lemo wicking is the bottom oring. When you tighten the glass, it squeezes the oring into the juice channel.

I am trying to see where you dremeled , I can't quite make out what you are showing unless its a very tiny little hole about three quarters of the way up? I have one of these on order and am excited about getting it in, super glad to have found this post! I really like this unit and am hoping for great results really soon! Anyways any other tips regarding? Please post them for the new old guy, Thanks! :) I was going to post a new thread asking for any tips and suggestions after ordering today but wow here it is already!

My only advice is watch a few youtube videos on wicking and installing a coil. I circled what part I took off the chimney. I went up to just where the threads are on the inside and it wicks a lot better now. I vape a pretty high vg blend so that really made a difference. And I have no issues when filling.

I see it now, I thought it was the glass and was puzzeled, but I see now ! I'm not sure if I will change the mix just yet, I've been at 70pg30vg which is what the first bottle I bought was and I continued with that. I'm not reall trying to get a cloud or big smoke but just a decent hit, after smoking menthols for many years I guess it is maybe just a little more demanding. But last night I watched a youtube review on a Eleafijust2, wow ! Man that thing works!! And after reading the suggestions regarding the CLR or RBA I saw this one listed as an accessory. The sale they advertised was ended but still available at normal price, The filling option is awesome, I have a small tank now and this will be awesome, spent some time reading and watching last night! Nice unit , comes with extras ! How on earth did you circle the picture?

I use the android app photo editor. It has a very decent selection of photo enhancement tools comparable to photoshop in many ways.

The lemo 2 is great. I have 2 of them, one I vape a high vg so I used the dremel on the sides to open the channel away from the gasket, and the other I vape 60vg in and it works fine stock. The only issue is tightening it down too much. If you do that it pushes the gasket into the juice channel and it can't wick so i make sure the top is on tight enough to not leak but loose enough to be able to spin the glass. The flavor is great and its really easy to fill.

Thats awesome! Finally finished my contract with the iphone this month and looking forward to something other than an iphone! Thats great to know about the app! Thanks for the info,
I understand the tightening issue, I have serviced many different resovoir type units which seal with an o ring or very thin gasket and over-tightening distorts them easily, but even so once seated well they seal fine, a neat aspect is the filling window, so once sealed and wicking or working it should be a while before needing to open it again. I ordered two as well and I went with the Eleafijust2 to start with, it was a little less than the ego one mega and I liked the coil set up in this tank more so than the rebuildable setup for the ego one, at least to get started with the RBA and sub ohm. I read the comment above about the size of the chimney, ironically I thought it looked pretty big too when I saw the pics, but mostly I liked the coil set up and the filling feature, the big chimney sold me on it! :) Wow thanks again for the explanations and details, you have been super helpful , with a little luck I'm looking forward to being able to say wow or whoa ! :) And maybe just maybe a picture of the whoa effect! :) Only a few days to wait for shipping !

I started vaping in Jan and after an ego setup went straight to rebuilding so I don't have much experience with premade coils, but a few of my friends vape and I try all their stuff so I know the difference. An rta is so much better. The quality of vape is better, and you have a lot of control as to how you build to really fine-tune it. I go with 24 or 26g, or twisted 28 depending on how I feel, and stick to around 0.7ohms and that works well for me. I'm glad i could be of some help.. When the lemo came out it was supposed to be the be all end all to all that problems and they did solve a few in one tank so they did their job. My only gripe is that you drain it to rewick it, but I can usually time those out to an empty tank. If i need to adjust the coil I'll squeeze a bottle and then suck the juice out of the hole like those snot bubble suckers people use on their infants.
