Hello everyone,

I love my Lemo 2 but I have a problem whenever I try to rewick or change the coil, I have difficulty with unscrewing the inner chimney cap from the deck to expose the build. I don't want to take pliers to it outta fear of bending it and I've tried throwing it in the freezer to cause the metal to contract to see if it'll loosen it. I'll mess with it and mess with it with no luck. I'm good with my attys and haven't dropped it or anything. I've checked the threads the very few times I have actually been able to get it off and I haven't noticed any burrs or anything. The threads screw on relatively smoothly (no worse than any others attys I've had where I haven't had any problems.) I also to make sure to leave it somewhat loose whenever I screw it back on but I always run into the same problem when I try to rewick again.

Please someone help!! Does anyone else run into this problem or have a fix? I love this rta too much just to chock it up as a loss......

Thanks

This happens on the Lemo's from time to time, and I assume it's the expanding and contracting of the metal while vaping that gets it locked on there.

First, and most importantly, the tighter you grip the barrel, the more it's going to fight you. Grip it loosely enough so that it actually slips in your hand as you try to unscrew it. To much pressure on the barrel distorts it just enough to lock it on the threads.

And when that fails, running the barrel under hot tap water for awhile seems to be enough to expand it and get it loose for me.

If you have access to a Dremel tool, you can get yourself a small wire wheel and run it around the threads of the chimney using a medium speed on the wire wheel.

Then your thread binding problems should be over.

I have been saying for a long time eleaf has Quality Control issues on their tanks.

Either they leak like crazy, you can't get them open, or on the Lemo Drop I saw the voltage could not get from the 510 pin to the darn coil.

No matter how many mods or how much tweaking my friend and I did at the vape shop; every mod including mine always said check Atomizer as if there was no tank installed.

I like the eleaf Istick mods but I wouldn't have an eleaf tank.

What! Two_Bears throwing more Lemo shade? I'm shocked, I tell Ya. I'm shocked!
I own six Lemo 2's purchased from multiple sources. None of them leak EVER, other than a bit of condensation from the air flow slots.
On occasion one part or another might balk at disassembly. Assembly to finger tight stops most, if not all of that. When it does occur, A rubber band around the offending part provides enough grip to disassemble.
Other than that, when wicked properly they perform flawlessly, tankful after tankful both at home and out and about.

The original poster gave his experience; so I shared mine. If you find the truth offensive. I'm not the one with the problem.

A brand new Melo 2 came with my istick60tc.

I didn't bother opening the Melo 2. I put the tank in a ziplock bag, user manual, and brand new coil heads and put it up for auction on eBay.

And we had two happy people. I wanted rid of the darn thing and he got a bargain.

The rubber band trick is the way to go. I use that method when any of my atties get stuck. And that happens to every tank I've owned once in a while. I share the opinion of Two Bears on the Lemos. I owned the full line of Lemos, the 1, 2 and the drop. The only one that still gets any use at all is the drop.
