Adam, I heard somewhere that the two O-rings aren't identical, and that if you mistakenly install the thicker one on the bottom, it interferes with wicking. I haven't personally experienced this, but was planning to remove them both to double-check... one of these days. :)

Ill check and let you know.
Ok I checked and one actually is a hair bigger than the other.

I'm tootle puffing it at 17.6W, lol!

I would be using a different build if I wanted to go higher. Try a Clapton.

Did an 8 wrap 28 twisted in an original lemo and I'm getting ready to wick it up and let you know :)

It is 1.3 ohm which is a little high but we will see

I have a twisted 28g in my lemo 2 right now. I forget how many wraps (think 4/3) ID is about 3.5mm @ .9ohm and 30 watts. Never a dry hit. My twist pitch is really tight since I straightened the wire before twisting, close to .35. A pretty cool vape @30 watts, but it's on an istick 30 so that's the limit. Loads of surface area.
I just made some triple strand twisted 30g that has a pitch of .3, only used in my friends rda so far. I'd like to try that in here next.

That's cool my twisted 28 is tight to...really close pitch if you like and it is doing really well around 23 watts and it's 8 wraps spaced coil with an ID of 2.5..

I would have liked to be around 1 ohm but I got 1.4ohm and there is good surface area.

Probably pushing the limits of the lemo due to the juice channels being so small but hey it's a give and take world isn't it? :)

No, I don't think you're pushing its limits. I've tried all kinds of coil craziness in my v1 and it kept up. But I always go back to my 8 wrap coils in the 1.3 ohm range. I dunno, I just like it like that.

24g, 3mm, 6-7 wraps spaced.

Vapes like a champ at 25-35 watts. Wicking is the key.

Juice channels are way better then Lemo 1. Check your wicking.

You can go twisted 24g, 6-7 wraps 3mm. This will lower the ohm/resistance by about half. Lots of vaper and good flavor.

I find the same thing and took it a step further. I've compared the same clapton build across all my box mods at 30W, and it's always the same result: the iStick 30W is always much cooler than the rest of them (iStick 100W, iStick 50W, TNT80). I even compared them in voltage mode to rule out any minor variability with resistance readings, same result... seems the iStick 30W just isn't up to the task for beefy coils because of its high internal impedance.

Just ordered a Lemo 2 after hearing all the praise for them. I'm a KF3/KF4 fan looking for more flavor. It should be here in a couple of days or so. From what I'm hearing the Lemo 2 is a high watt tank. I'm planning on treating it like a Kayfun and building it around 2 ohms. Is that a good idea or do I need to try low resistance coils (and why)?

My reason for trying the Lemo 2 is that it's been touted as a no leak, high flavor tank. Now, I'm hearing about leaking problems. I'm an 80pg/20vg guy. Thin juices don't agree with the Lemo 2, maybe?

Actually its the high vg people who have had some trouble with the wicking keeping up because of limited space between the chimney barrel and glass. I have always used a 65pg liquid in my v1 with no issues.

Try your 2 ohm coil with the afc shut down and see how it does for you. I have mostly used my Lemos as tootle puffer tanks and like them better than all the Kayfuns.

I had a kayfun lite plus and I could get 20 watts max out of it.
The lemo should have no problems at 20 watts.

Since you use thin juice you may want to cut the wicks about 3mm above the chimney.

I don't care how little, or how much wick you install in your Lemo 2 .... This is where it is going to seep juice.

It wont start seeping juice right after cleaning and re-wicking it, but after about a half a tank of juice ... you WILL be wiping juice off the bottom of the base and the top (510 connection area) of your mod ... I promise !

Yes it does leak a little bit from there. I haven't figured it out either...it's not a lot like 2 drops

It is condensation that collects behind the AFC ring. It's an unavoidable feature of the Lemo 2. For me it's never been anything other then a quick wipe off the top of the mod when the tank is off.

My wife won't vape anything but a Lemo 2, and she now has 3 of them.

Her build is 27ga Kanthal, 3.0mm, with 7 spaced wraps. Usually ends up around 1.2-1.3Ω, and she vapes MTL around 20 Watts.

IMO, the Lemo's are still tough to beat for flavor.
