Lemo chimney tube locks up

The tube threads onto the base with reasonable smoothness and I've tried flipping the tube end for end with the same lockup result. Examining both the tube threads and base threads under 10x mag doesn't show any rough spots on either. Unfortunately, now I've ruined both the tube and the base with pliers trying to unscrew the two for a new build. Not happy.

Anyone else run into this problem with their Lemo?

Mine usually comes off with only a slight struggle, but I've had it happen with my subtank rda chimney piece. Most people suggest putting it in the freezer, so I guess try doing that. Maybe the tube is bent slightly from using pliers on it? I had that happen to another RTA, bu just kind of squeezed it back into place.

Some have said the use a thin application of Chapstick to the threads to keep this from happening. I haven't tried it but it sounds logical!!

I just lube with e juice when I'm rewicking. I had my Aquav2 chimney get stuck last night. I didn't think i'd ever get it off.

Buy rubber coated pliers...sorry that happened...sucks.

Mine does that, but I am always able to get them apart by grabbing both ends with a cloth.

The trick is to grasp the two pieces very lightly when trying to unscrew them. If you put to much pressure on the lower chimney, they like to bind.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've got a replacement on the way and will be far more cognizant of the possibility of lockup. I like the Chapstick idea and may try it out. In the meantime, I managed to finally get the parts separated and can at least get a decent vape until the replacement arrives. Thanks again!

This. The chimney portion is very thin metal and i found that if you grasp it too tight, it will bind to the deck. It's nerve racking the first time it happens, and I believe they should have included a notification of that on the box lol.
