As the title states I am having issues with my set up.
Facts.
When I got the Lemo I built a coil with 28 gauge nickle wire - 9 wraps at 3mm. It came out to .1 ohms and was stable as could be. Excellent vapor production and absolutely no issues for a month.
The first coil needed to be replaced at this point. So I installed the same kind of coil and the result was .... at first. Messed up. What I mean by this is that the flavor was non existent and the vapor left a Nasty tingling feeling like it was burnt on exhale. I pulled it apart and the cotton was still perfectly white. So I installed another coil. Same thing. The third time it was fine and ohmed out at .11. So that one was good for three weeks.
Here's where the real problem begins. For the past 4 days have installed no less then 10 different coils. Touching, spread, 28 gauge and 26 gauge. Anywhere from .07 to .14. Every time it's hits excellent for about the first 10 pulls. I set it down for 10 minutes and when I pick it up I get that scratchy flavorless hit. I prime it 3-4 times and it does ok for a little bit and picks back up with the problems again. Sounds like a wicking issue right? So I do some research and read about two things that might help. One is to not over tighten the top cap. The second is that sometimes the Black o ring on the top of the chimney falls off during coil changed or cleaning and the lack of that o ring causes wicking problems. Niether of those solutions is working for me.
Something else that I have noticed is that the temp control section seems to be on the fritz with this tank because no matter what I set it at it doesn't have much effect on my issue. Still no burning of the cotton but crappy flavor and tingling exhale causes coughing. My two buddies who also vape who are just as knowledgeable if not more then me have the seem experience.
My friend has an SX mini M as well. So I ordered a new Lemo 2 and it came in today. Wired it up same as the first time 28 gauge 9 wraps. It displays the same problems as the first on my mod and his. This issue is specific to the Lemo 2 because my Kanger mini is doing fine and displays much better behavior. Something very strange is going on here. If anyone has experienced any issues like this and know a solution please help. I love the Lemo 2 for its flavor and vapor production I don't want to give up on it. I also have a Goliath, Zephyrus and a goblin. The Lemo 2 was my favorite up until this crap started happening.
One more thing is I also tried the method of trapping the legs under the screws instead of inside the post holes but it has no effect. Besides, I get constant ohms reading so I don't think that it's a connectivity issue. Also I don't see any signs of hot spots. I am at the end of my wits with this thing.
