lemon versus lime flavorings

I'm finding many great-tasting lime flavorings (Key lime pie, mojito, plain lime...). I don't think I've tried any lime vape that was a total fail for me.

But I'm having a terrible time finding good lemon! They all taste like they have meringue or marshmallow, and I want plain, fresh, tart lemon. Nature's Flavors Organic Lemon Top Notes is close, has no meringue/mallow taste to me, but it's not a complete enough lemon flavor for the recipe I want to make (Lemonheads).

I've tried FlavourArt's Lemon Sicily (should be called lemon meringue), FlavorWest Lemonade (ew), Hangsen's Lemon and their Lemonade (bad aftertaste to me), and TFA's Lemon (chemical to me). I know what I'm looking for exists. Northland Vapor's Lemon Cupcake had that flavor in it, but they're out of business.

Who can suggest a clean, tart, fresh lemon flavoring? Hmmm, maybe I should make "limeheads" instead of "lemonheads".. Oh - and I really want to avoid flavorings with oil.

My answer to everything - try medicine flower. Keep it under 0.5% (at least to start.)

Best one I've tried so far (I promise I'm not a shill for them. lol) They have another in the Wera Garden line called Lemon Mix but I haven't tried that one. Some of the ones you've mentioned are very perfumey to me but I didn't think the FW was so bad as long as it was mixed with a bunch of other stuff.

I have the Wera Garden Lemon Mix and it is very good.

Is there a US distributor for Ianwera? Minimum order is pretty high (near $30, plus shipping), though I'm also interested in their Sesame.

JCMcCord - what the heck is "medicine flower"? I don't know the term.
