I have been reducing the voltage of my device lately and finding it to still be satisfying enough. I was setting it at about 4.5 to 5 volts, and now i have it set at 3.7 volts for about a week now. I am using Boge standard resistance cartomizers (3 ohm).

I am finding that I am still getting a satisfying hit.
I am using less liquid.
I am using less battery.
I am re-filling cartos less.

hmmm... interesting...

The last two years of my vaping I was just weaning myself off the "Oral Gratification" thingy. My DIY was just 50/50 VG/PG. . .that's it. Zero Nic, Zero Flavor. I ran my ProVari at the minimum voltage it would operate at. coils lasted forever, and I still had tons of vapor. Worked 4 me. Feb 6th was my last vape. JMHO

Cheers,

At 3.7, sounds like you're ready for some mechs if you don't already have them ;)

I thought about mechs, but I need a very consistant hit throughout the life of the battery. At this voltage with the SR cartos, my ProVari mini is giving me an entire day with a single 18350 battery. And every hit is exactly the same.

My next batt will probably be a VV/VW setup, for a little bit of tweaking to find a good sweet spot.
I dig flavor, I'm already in need of a nic-drop, (at nearly a full bottle of some pretty heavy stuff, I think I'm going to be mixing in another weaker favourite for a while) and a throat hit isn't nearly as important to me as it was a week ago.

I'm not personally enticed to go "bigger" on anything except for battery life, once I find out what's working best for me. A major draw for me to switch was actually saving money, if I'm vaping $5.50 a day in juice rather than lighting it on fire, there's little difference.

yeah, I never understood the high voltage thing ... anything over 4.2 volt starts to taste burned pretty soon, unless I made my coil over 2.5 ohm, and it seems vapor production gets reduced after a few hits in a row ... so, with my 1.8 to 2.4 ohm heads/coils, I keep my volts below 3.7 pretty much all the time, most times between 3 and 3.5 volt

It really depends on what you're atty can efficiently use. I made a u-wick with 2 4 ohm coils on it in parallel in my aga T a while ago, must have been around 20 wraps of 0.5x0.1mm kanthal and it vaped awesome since even 6v was nowhere near its limit.. it proved to be too high maintenance though since there were hotspots popping up every week and it was difficult to get them out.
