I'm sure Provape will do you right. I've heard nothing but good about them and there products. I have one pre-owned Mini and another pre-owned mini on its way to me. I've not have one problem with the mini I've been using and it's a V2. The one on its way to me is a V2.5. I know that if something did go wrong with either one that Provape would take good care of me no matter what. I hope everything goes well and smoothly for you, I'm sure it will.

This is most certainly NOT the norm. The circuit board in the Provari is hot-glued in place. Your Provari is one of the few which unfortunately will need to be returned for repair. I can almost guarantee that when you send it in it will be returned to you within a week, good as new. Free of charge, of course.

Sorry about your bad luck. I can certainly understand being without your beloved Provari for even a week. That's probably why most of us have more than one Provari in our collection. We may have other backup mods, but if they're not Provari's, its just not the same.

Sorry you're having an issue. As everyone else has stated it's very rare. I have a V2 that was a year old when I bought it from the classy's & 2 others (1 about 10months old) and haven't had any issues thus far. I'm sure Provape will take great care of you & your Provari will be back to you in no time. But I totally understand, I wouldn't be able to deal with not having 1 at all times! I'd prob go nuts!

I do recall another recent thread about it - and it sounded like the poster was poking around in there, and found the board wiggly.
Everyone was like, "why are you sticking your finger in your tube?" lol.
Anyway - I also recall a recent change in cleaning recommendations - to NOT go to town with isopropyl alcohol - and I THINK it said that they were using different GLUE that might be degraded.
Sooooo -
A) Maybe there's a glue problem, holding the board - we could ask if it's a known issue...
B) Did you by any chance use a bunch of isopropyl alcohol to clean inside? We won't tell (and they wouldn't likely care anyway)

Imagine if you had bought a $60K+ BMW and the trunk release stops working within a week... Ugh, when I spend that much on a car, I expect a trunk that opens every time!

It happens, even when the design is incredibly good...

No big deal... ProVape will fix it for free, and you'll be all set! It's unfortunate that you got a bum unit, but the good news is you don't have to live with it, like you would if you had bought a Zmax or SVD or Vamo or whatever...

I agree and posted about it before. Just at the moment people start saying their boards are loose (even without an iso bath), ProVape announces not to give iso baths. It could be there are issues with the new glue they haven't worked out yet.

I'm currently debating if I should open a ticket for the bronze I got on Cyber Monday. The button definitely isn't like my other ones, although the board isn't loose.

That's great. :thumb:

The point that dam was making is, had this happened to one of those mods, you would have no recourse to getting them repaired. When you own a Provari, they can ALWAYS be repaired, even after the warranty runs out (for very reasonable repair fees). Provari provides lifetime support for as long as you own the mod.

Do you happen to know there policy on second hand items?
I, like many people here it seems, are not the original owner of their Provari. I have wondered if I had any options, through Provape as far as repairs and warranty.

I believe second hand items fall into the "Standard Service Repair Costs"

Replace Window and screws- $10.00
Replace Circuit Board - $65.00
Upgrade to V2 - $20.00
Replace plastic pushbutton - $5.00
Repairs to the circuit board - $25.00
Cleaning - $20.00
Replace top cap - $15.00
Broken Cartomizer Service - $10.00

Return shipping within the USA - $5.00
Return shipping International ~$46.00

As noted above, repair costs are quite reasonable.
And in at least one known instance, perhaps because when they looked at the unit, they felt the repair was somehow their responsibility, ProVape returned a back-to-perfect model to it's second owner and just never asked for $.

Very reasonable indeed. I bought me a SID when I first started vaping again and while it's a great device, in my opinion, I knew if something did happen to it, there would be no option for sending it in for repair. Now, I only paid $35 dollars for it, but $35 added up a few times if I had to purchase again and again adds up obviously. I wanted something Made in America, classy, sturdy and functional oh and petite in size so when I was offered a trade for something I had on the classies I took it with a quickness because of all the amazing things I had read about Provaris. I'm so glad I did because I love my Mini and know at anytime I can send it in for repair, no matter what happens to it and it won't cost me an arm and a leg. It would really suck to send it away but I would know it would be in good hands :).

This is the response from provape, i was hoping a "send it back for fix your issue" and instead I received a "stretch your spring out" and "that could be normal" hell no my SVD feels better than this

If the board is moving a bit from side to side, that is okay and would not affect the ProVari's function.

If the board is moving up and down, that is another issue.

To find out which type of movement you're getting, would you be willing to look at the display head on through the window without the battery inserted and push the button a few times? What does the PCB do?

Next, insert your pinky and move the PCB while looking at the display. What does it do?

And lastly, insert the battery and screw the end cap in place and push the button several times while still looking at the display. What does the PCB do in this case?

If you could let me know the answer to these questions, I can further assist you in figuring out what exactly is wrong and what can be done :)

More than likely, the movement you're feeling is the battery. Pull up on the spring in the end cap to stretch it out a bit, maybe an eighth of an inch or more. Make sure and hold the bottom of the spring so it doesn't pop out of the end cap. They're a pain to get back in. This will help secure the battery into place and provide a more solid connection.

Please let me know what you find.

Best Regards,
Kim
