I can order 120ml from Wizard Labs of 18mg/ml of VG for about $20 and some flavoring for $1.49.
Mix them together. (following proper percentages, of course)
Let them steep.
vape.

WHY THE F! have I been paying upwards of $20 for 30ml plus shipping?

Am I missing something?

If I'm not, my monthly habit just got a LOT CHEAPER!

DIY is a LOT cheaper indeed. Though it's still nice to order vendor juice from time to time, especially to give you your own ideas on flavors.
Some flavors don't even require much if any steep time to be a great vape also!

I vape 70p/30v juice and I just buy my nicotine premixed to save time in my mixing. Costs a little more over time but still way ... wayyy cheaper.

the reason why i do not diy is
1. I am lazy
2. I have a 3 year old and a small animal kind of scared they would get into my pure nic, highly unlikely, but still scared
3. there is a particular type of liquid that i like, and trying to replicate it might cost alot...
To those that are happy with DIY and can make awesome juices WTG

1 and 2 can be solved using premixed nicotine. You're not dealing with high levels of nicotine (same level as the juices you already vape) and it cuts the time it takes to make drastically. I mean, I can make a 3 flavor juice in about 5 mins and that includes clean up time.

3 CAN be an issue. However, there are TONS of outstanding recipes on this site and others that have been tested by many people and found to be a pretty solid vape. Obviously if you want to experiment all the time it can become more costly. However, the total cost over time ... even experimenting ... is probably lower than vendor bought juice.

Even though I DIY, I still buy certain e-liquids becasue I haven't figured out how to effectively duplicate them. E-liquid mixing is a little more complicated than just mixing flavoring and nicotine, some people have a flair for it and can create complex recipes. Others ( like myself ) only do well with simple 2-3 flavor recipes.

I've bought 50ml for $13.69 at madvapes and there is even cheaper out there like the 10L for $188.99 at e-liq.

It is a shame what people pay. I get a liter of premixed, bottle of menthol, shake them up- and I'm done for the year.

I think it would be awesome if you could buy a bottle of premixed flavorings, and just add it to a base. That way, one could alter the amount of flavor in their favorite vendor's juice. Plus, it would leave room for savings for the vendor (not having to use nicotine, VG/PG, aside of flavoring bases used). And in turn, those savings could pass on to us. Never gonna happen though. :)

Indeed. You can save some money using their doublers. Not sure how that would compare to DIY though as I've never done the math.
My guess is it's still plenty more costly but probably turns TastyV into the lowest priced juice out there.

I know personally, I'll mix my own blends with other vendor blends from time to time. Sometimes it's nice to add a "splash" of juice to another blend.

What are "Doublers"?? Has anyone tried these? Sounds like you only add your nic to it, and nothing else ... not sure. Can anyone tell me more about this one? I'm very interested!

Here's what it says on their site:

ZERO NICOTINE DOUBLERS

Doublers are Tasty Vapors answer to Zero Nicotine liquids. With TV you get 2-4 times the amount of zero nicotine vaping fluid, for relatively the same price as our nicotine liquid! You get so much, that you can use it to mix down your high nicotine liquids and create larger batches, of lower nicotine liquid, without any flavor loss!

UPDATE:
I think I got the answer from their website (after reading more, like I should have done from the beginning! ha,ha). It says:

If you start with 24 MG E-liquid
18 MG = 3 parts e-liquid + 1 part Doubler
16 MG = 2 parts e-liquid + 1 part Doubler
12 MG = 1 part e-liquid + 1 part Doubler
8 MG = 1 part e-liquid + 2 parts Doubler
6 MG = 1 part e-liquid + 3 parts Doubler
4.8 MG = 1 part e-liquid + 4 parts Doubler (mixing the whole bottles of each together)

So I "assume" the 1 part I'd add (to achieve 12mg) would be a combination of nic & pg/vg? It's late ... and my brain isn't working. :)

^^ yes. Half your 24mg base and half the doubler. Go for it!

ALL! This is my arch nemesis!! (Sp? And use of words? But you know what I mean :) )

The ONLY juice my wife will vape is vaporbomb coffee. I can't replicate it! But.. The good news especially for new DIYers is that they sell premixed flavoring for ALL of their juices so folks can make their own.

They don't tell you what % to use but, hey, a little experimenting and it saved me a ton of $$ and got me started in DIY.

unfortunately for me and what Ive read certain juices are just to hard to DIY. I love naturally extracted tobaccos, I would have to buy tobacco leaves and figure out what type of leaves and then I would have to steep those leaves for days to find the taste and strength I like then mix and stain a few times, and then it might not be to my liking. I do make my own basic juice that I have in large amounts. Its a simple 50/50 pg-vg that I add a couple of drops of natural organic orange and a drop of clove. I know there are some people out there that make their own NET tobaccos but Ive also read about the disasters and some of the horrible batches that end up having to be dumped. So for now I have to stick to my store bought because they are so delicious and perfect I can not do with out.

Yep when i started with DIY I was amazed at the price difference, I can make that $15-$20 30ml bottle of e-liquid for $1.22,

I also rebuild my atomizers with a few scraps of cotton, silver and kantol wire for pennies. with better results than the manufactured

vaping went from very expensive at first to dirt cheap and i am happier with the results, frustration is gone.

Sure, if you don't mind diluting the flavor. TV's Doublers are just 0mg juice. They go great with TV's nicotine juice, of the same flavor, so you can mix them together to customize your nic level. (Dilute the nic without diluting the flavor kinda' thing.)

if i were to try to go cheap on TV juices I would use 100mg nicotine so as to minimize the dilution of flavor. But In my dealings with tasty vapor I just order juice and doubler as appropriate Geoff's prices are not that high and the doubler makes them last a long time.
