Hello everyone!

The point of the discussion is finding out if there's a better cartomizer for me or if not at all. Allow me to start at the beginning. I primarily use atomizers for all of my vaping pleasures and I've tried cartomizers twice.

Let me just say, that I use the eGo standard 650mAh, a VV MonkeyBoxx, a 5v Foxy Box, and soon, a 3.7v Foxy Box. That being said, there are no restrictions on resistances when choosing a carto, something to be kept in mind if you're helping me out ;) But I use nothing but a 510 connection.

I bought a box of cartos from a local vendor a while back, because I was low on $$$ and I was down to my last atty - the guy recommended using my $8 on a box of 5 cartos rather than 1 atty, makes sense, right? Right, well, I do not know what brand they were but I have to say, they were terrible. (I believe they were 2.0ohm LR)

I don't know what it was about them, but they just seemed to make the juice taste a little, well, off. I tried a variety of different juices on them, from fruit to tobacco to dessert to just menthol and I just couldn't see myself enjoying these things. Bought some more attys, I was happy again, moving on.

Recently, I won a 5v Foxy Box Mod kit, which came with a Boge 3.0ohm carto and I've been using it occasionally with the KBV Warm Sugar Cookie included with the kit. I must say, it's a helluva lot better than the other cartos (that or my tastes changed since then, I dunno) but I still prefer attys more, at this point.

My question is then, is there some new sort of carto out there that just SMASHES all of the others? Has anyone ever experienced what I did and found THE carto of all cartos that put the others to shame? My plan is to order another box of cartos (along with some more attys) to try with some other juices that I like to use all day, which if it is needed to know, it would be Boba's Bounty (can't put it down as of late) so it's 100%vg. But, I of course love some BWB Malty Toffee and a lot of KBV juices (which also would be mostly vg, 60/40).

More than likely, I'm looking for something in around 2.8 - 3.0ohm for high voltage vaping but, if there's something out there LR that is just the bees knees, then I'll consider those options as well. (If ikenvape carries some of these "magical super cartos," that would be an added bonus, because that's where I gets me attys :p )

Any suggestions? :D Thanks for reading my probably over-detailed post.

well there's always the dual coil cartos:) i love these things and there was a thread earlier guy used one at 7.2 or 7.4 volts i think and it still didn't burn. these are 1.5-2.5 ohms i think madvapes has the 1.5's.

What makes these different than other cartos, aside of possibly longer life expectancy? Do they taste better?

two 3.2 ohm coils wired in parallel down to a 1.6ish ohm load, only cartos i can use anymore really. give a great throat hit, the flavors really clean on them i prefer it over dripping, then again i always liked cartos. nice warm vapor and they hold 1.8 ml of juice
you can also get them in clear so you can see your juice and make sure it's spread arround nice in the filler before use, also with the clear ones you can take the tube off clean and dry the filler allot easier and dry burn the coils so you can get allot more life out of them

Interesting, thanks a lot for chiming in permafrying! I will look into these "dual-coiled" contraptions ;)

I just stepped into the 5v world as well with Godzilla's 5v Fox Box mod, recently just got GoGo's and some Echo-e carto's, some dual coil 2.0ohm carto's and a 3.5ml Mega 2.8ohm carto from nHaler. I'm used to using carto's on 1100maH Ego's, especially loved the 1.25ohm duals on those. I will have to report back my findings on the new larger ones because my first day with them wasn't good, they killed the flavor badly for some reason. I cleaned them today so will try again tomorrow. For now, the 2.0 Dual works good on true 3.7 and 5v and that 3.5ml SuperDuper 2.8ohm carto rocks on the Foxy 5v.
Here are comparison pics of the dual coil, GoGo, Echo-e and 3.5ml carto along with their pals. Look how the Foxy Box looks with that Mega 3.5 on it! Cool eh?

Jeezus! 3.5mL!!! That's insane ;)

I always thought that having more juice it there wouldn't do much good anyways, because don't you have to continuously top the cartos off anyways? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of such a big ole carto? (Forgive the ignorance :) )

I'd recommend the 1.5's for the Ego's and 2.0-2.5 for 5v Levitas. You can try the 1.25's on the Ego's they kick ..., but will shorten the battery life. They're hotter too so it can kill the flavor in some juices and enhance the taste of others. You'll find out soon enough! Just know that the 5V Foxy will NOT run the 1.25's, it's fine at 2.0 and above.

Right on, I've heard some good and bad as well, though I never really knew what the hell was going on, lol!

So, at this point, dual coils look to be the top-dawg around town? Is there a specific brand that is superior? Or any other types of cartos? I am really just trying to get to know everything so I may make an informed decision, thanks by way ya guys for helpin me out :D

I top off my Go Go carts(3mL) once a day. I switch between different flavored cartos though, so I've never tried to vape one empty, but I've vaped my main stay flavored one down to where it took a little over 60 drops to fill(90 drops usually fills a blank carto for me) and was still getting good vapor production out of it before I refilled it.

Edit: This doesn't help you pick a 510 one I know. Just pointing out that the really big cartos don't need topped up very often.
