I've been waiting for the improved Vortex which is due in some time next month. These look exactly the same, but the site states that they can only be used 3-5 times???? What happens after that? Do they self destruct?

lol no problem. everyone seems to love them so im sure you won't be dissapointed, could also try the g4's, liberty flights just got them today, they're like the vortex's from gotvapes. it's a bottom coil clearomizer, cant say how good they are but got some on the way so ill see if i can find this thread and let you know when i get them. allot of people like the vortex's though so im sure these will be awesome

lol i hope not i've already gotten enough juice in my eye in the past couple months. i don't know about that part i don't see why they would have such a short life span unless you were using really thick juices.. but even then it should last longer

I'm hoping to dedicate at least one of these (maybe two) to some Boba's, and we all know how thick that stuff is!

Hopefully I can get at least a day or two out of one?

only time will tell :) im sure they'll last atleast a week though maybe longer if there's a good way to clean/dry burn the coils

I have to say, I use the CE2, revision 5 and have used them over and over again, taken them apart to clean, put them back together, dry burn, etc. Although the tubes they come with stink and crack if you sneeze too hard, I bought the replacements (GotVapes) and they're much thicker and take more abuse. I have yet to have a CE2 burn out on me, which is why I'm curious about the lifespan of the Vortex or G4s. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to filled cartos after tasting just the juice and only the juice with these little wicks.

your slackin. sad sad thing. where do they have the revision 5's at? only seen revision 4's when i've actually looked for em. what's the difference?
as far as maitanance i'd just use it till it dies and flush it threw with water and see if that works, maybe see if you can take it apart to dry burn it if your willing to lose one, least you'd have 4 left :) they're pretty new so don't think your gonna find much info on them unless they really are like vortex's just without the alf then do the same you would do with thoughs.. which you would probably have to look arround for not sure what that would be :)

I switch flavors very often, and with the CE2s, I just pull the tube off, rinse under water, rinse the wicks and such, then pat it all dry with a paper towel. Blow out so there's no water in the inside, then dry burn until the wick under the coil starts losing all the burnt on gunk. I also blow on it after each 5 or so second dry burn. Some of mine have been cleaned at least 5 times and the only thing that seems to degenerate is the wick. If you're not gentle with it, it unravels and then disintegrates.

I've been waiting for a new one that doesn't start out being the best thing that happened to vaping and then a week later get bad reviews. The dual coils might fit the bill.

I'll settle for one that doesn't make the juice taste nasty and allows me to vape more than 3-5 hits before re-squeezing or re-dripping ;) I love the taste, but, I need something for driving as my fiancee is getting tired of dripping for me :D

As far as the duel coils with the filler go, I came across this cool video review that says you can blow em out, but as you can see, taking them apart too much is bad so ya cant do a dry burn ( I don't think) I imagine you can flush them out though if that will help, but then, I can imagine a lot of things my wife would smack me for.

seen a few comments on people taking them apart and cleaning them so this guy like he said might have done it wrong when he re-wrapped it. it might be hard dunno ill find out in about a week week and a half when i burn my first one off :) blowing it out will get the juice out but deffinetaly not the flavor... lol loved how he burned himself though was funny

I used ce2's exclusively for a year. They work well but take some work. I haven't had one work great out of the box all the way through a fill. Always had to tilt up to get enough juice by the coil. I always pull the plug and put it back upside down because the wicks were too pinched. On the upside I can use one ce2-x for a month or more with cleanings. So at ~$2-3 each they are very economical. Vortex work ok with some of the same fiddling. I think some changes were made to vortex since I got mine so they may be fine now. Vortex are very easy to fill and unlike ce2's the juice is always around the coil. Vortex just need some time to mature like ce2's did. I just got into some dual coils and I have to say they are working quite well. The flavor isn't as good as ce2's or vortex, Just a little off which has been my experience with any filler cartos, I think because excess juice just sits getting heated over and over. Unlike the filler cartos that I stopped using a year and a half ago they last quite a while and don't burn. So I guess those 3 I would try. They all have drawbacks but just pick the one with a drawback you don't mind. Even with the taste issue dual coils have been the least trouble to use for me.

Just an FYI for you Levitas - Iken sent out some Dual Coils for testing the other day. I've only seen one brief mention of that fact here on ECF so far. That little mention was from someone who didn't like the Smoke Tech dual coils, but it sounded like Ikens were right up his alley. I didn't read through this whole thread, but you might want to. I saw another post from 5cardstud mentioning he had one...

I'm a dual coil user. I'm completely sold on the Smoke Techs.

That said: The bottom horizontal coil cartos that have been popping up since the Go-Go PV gained some traction really show promise. The Echo-e cartos are 510 threaded and have a skirt like an eGo mega atty or a eGo-t atty, so they are more or less designed for eGo's. They have something close to a 3 ml capacity and people are claiming to get 100 refills out of them. There are several threads involving the echo and including the echo-e cartos in the eGo-type models subsection And, they are discussed a little bit in the Echo PV review thread (reviewed by txtumbleweed)

The only thing I use CE2s for is guts for my MAP tanks. <begin rant> I am not at all fond of them as they are sold. I used them for a few weeks and once in a blue moon, I'd get one that maintained good flavor for a few refills. Mostly, those things just made me mad more often than not by leaking or losing flavor. - I love them in my MAPs, but even in the tanks, I throw a lot of those things away because they won't wick right, or they lose flavor and a dry burn session won't straighten them out, or they came out of the box no where near the advertized ohms and either won't make much vapor on the battery I'm using or they're scorching juice on the battery I'm using. I don't want to have to ohm test every darn one of them... </end rant>

i really don't understand how bottom horizontal coils are so new and great. cig2o, premium electric cigarette, and even regular litecigusa cartos use horizontal coils and i hate them other then the fact that i can pull the filler out and use them as atty's. all of these were around before the go-go as far as my knowledge..
edit: i tried to quote your message and say this but for some reason there was an error saying i had less them ten characters and couldn't post.....

six...I hope Ikenvape makes some of these. I love Isaac's cartomizers already. These would take the cake.

Don't get me started on the CE'2. Same rant as you. I modded all of mine so that I could get consistant hits out of them. A PITA to have to do that. Would be nice if royal smoker would get it right the first time right out of the box...I know...I'm dreaming.

I just sent my dual coil clears on a trip to Canada. I seriously couldn't handle them, they worked too good and I made myself sick because I couldn't curb my vaping time, and I didn't want to buy my favorite juice with half the nic content. Duals are the closest thing to real smoking that I've experienced.

Received 2 echo-e today and am waiting to get an adapter for my REO to try one. I hope they are a happy medium between dual and Boge 2.0.

Been using the Boge cartos for quite a while. Have tried the CE2 Clearomizers, had to notch the wick openings in the plug to get them to wick well. Tubes cracked after a short time. Still prefer the Boge cartos since they work reliably and are easy to fill, don't last all that long though. Would like to see more info on these Echo cartos, haven't been able to find anything but a small picture of them. The dual coil cartos sound promising, have to check them out. Do they hold up better than the Boge cartos?
