My funny thing is I don't feel like lighting one up, I feel like I already HAVE lit one up, when I haven't. Here's how it goes: We're retired and home all day. We both love coffee, so I am making many trips to make the coffee in my kitchen.

I used to keep a small ashtray right by the coffee machine, because of course I always had a cigarette in my hand, no matter that I was trying to do something that requires two hands, lol. When I started vaping, I gathered up all the ashtrays in the house.

I went in today to make coffee, put out my right hand to put the non-existent cigarette into the non-existent ashtray!:D

Whoops - Double Whammy! I cracked myself up laughing. Talk about a strong habit.

After reading this I drug out my old V2 cig alike battery that I started with over a year ago. It has been so long since I used it that the action seemed very awkward to me! Amazing since before I smoked for over 20 years! Plus the other day I tried to take a puff of my mother's just to see what would happen and I thought I was gonna choke to death. I think I puffed on it like my mod with a long slow drag..LOL Put it down after that...not missing it at all.

Ive got a poll for you guys! Have you ever had an impulse that was built into smoking that you still do? For me it's whenever i sit down to play my game. Its a multi-player arena game that usually takes around 30-45 minutes per game. Whenever the loading screen popped up right before entering the game i would jump out of my seat, run outside and smoke quickly then come back and sit down and play.

When i quit smoking and started vaping i found myself jumping up, making it to the glass sliding door and then realising "Oh wait, i no longer do this anymore". Which was pretty awkward for me, i would sit back down and not know what to do with that loading time lol! Now i tab out and come here or surf the net but my gf still gets a crack out of it whenever i jump up and then sit back down real quick like, "i did that on purpose" lol.

Anyone have things like this that they did or still do?

Other than the rolling window down mentioned by others I do miss certain rituals. Lighting, Flicking the ash, tossing the ...., are kind of built in after so many years of cigarettes.
