The first two are mine, Cheetoh and Carson Kitty. I helped deliver both of them, they are a year apart and were mine and my ex's and when we split up she developed a horrible disease that I call, selective cat allergies. Cheese had to go but Car could stay, which lead to both of them being adopted out. The last three were my girlfriends babies, the solid black, Kieran(little dark one) and orange one, Miikka(named after the goalie) are brothers that she rescued from a storm drain. Mikka weighs 22lbs and Kieran weighs 15lbs. The Siamese is Rihannon, or Reenie for short. She also had Stripes, who was a rescued and is now 14 and still healthy as a horse. Reenie weighed in at 12lbs and Stripes at 10lbs at the last round of shots. There is really no way to describe the love that can happen between people and their furbabies.

Right Over Here
Awww, Sallana, you made me cry.
I totally understand just how important cats (and dogs) are to us when we are younger and even as we get older. I dropped out of college to go back and get my cat, when I found out that my dad had her locked in a tiny backporch closet 24/7 with a nasty litterbox and hardly any food. As a child who grew up around lots of chaos, I couldn't leave my cat behind in it, not even to better myself.
(hugs) I'm glad that Whiskers has a great home.
You did better yourself. That was a move no college could teach- you were true. Nothing is more important.

Here's our two boys from several years ago, Mischief and Mayhem. Had them from kittens for 7 years, but had to find them a new home when our daughter was born due to allergies. She eventually outgrew the allergy, but they were happy in their new home - we found them a cat person who loved them as much as we did.

Current kitties:
Missy - she was dropped off as a kitten on a friends doorstep. We've had her ever since

We adopted two nine year old sisters about 6 weeks ago, Lila and Emma. Their owner had passed away, and the family didn't want to keep them. Unfortunately Emma developed some health problems about 2 weeks after we got her. Vet tested her and confirmed liver failure. She just passed away 2 days ago. We all got attached to her but my daughter is just devastated. Emma was HER cat - slept on her pillow, was every where she was. The pic with Emma on my daughter's lap is just a day or two before she died (which is why Julie looks sad - we knew she wouldn't last much longer)

The other sister Lila is still doing well. She's even taken to Jetta the dog, to the point that she stole the dog's ball lol....you can see the dejected look on the dogs face...she's too chicken to take it away

This is Frankie Black Lips. He's kind of a big deal (according to my wife). He's been in a cheezburger book & is soon to be featured in a calendar. Please note my most favorite boy (also my avatar) looking at Frankie & hoping for some "teamwork". He's an Abyssinian mix with a whole lot of personality.
