happy thanksgiving and don't forget to feed your reo.

I never believe it is a good idea to mod something until one knows it is a must to do.

been playing with my new reomizer changing coils and builds to find what works best.

actually for the most part everything I had tried worked quite well, and like my other mods I tend
to always go back to a single coil .8 to 1.0 ohms and use cotton yarn.

the only thing I can see so far is the air hole is small and makes for a tight draw. I'm getting used to this,
and the vaper is quite good. in the past I enlarged a air hole on a gennie type mod and that improved everything

so far I haven't read much here about making the air hole larger. so I'm hoping to hear what others think and have done

thanks again

Let me ask you onesixteenthers a question. Are you lung hitting it or mouth to lung? I ask because the stock air hole seems perfect for MTL hits but obviously too small for straight lung hits.

I actually do straight lung hits with stock air hole just by not fully sorrounding the drip with the mouth (thus, getting some more air inside my lungs too). Not completely ideal, but it works for me. Though I'm getting a milled reo for my cyclone+afc soon for real, hard lung hits.

I would never say the RM2 is a harsh vape, I'd say regular if anything, not harsh, not soft either. Depending on the results with the cyclone though, I might drill the airhole of the RM2 a bit... wouldn't it be nice an RM2 with adjustable airflow? One hole to rule them all...oh, shoot  . Happy thanksgiving!

I do love the ability to switch it up with AFC.

So far, the RM2 wins on flavor though.

I kind of expected that (getting a brass RM2 for the milled Reo too for that reason), chamber is smaller in the RM, plus usually more air means less flavour (though finding the right coil, usually with more extreme setups, tend to change that).

Small chambers = great flavor. Getting great flavor from Cyclone AFC with single coil, standard Cyclone, IGO-S (modified for BF) and RM2. Gotta say I'm getting slightly better flavor with the Cyclone and IGO-S....Not saying I'm not getting great flavor from RM2...it's relative. Stock air holes are perfect for me. Any larger and flavor suffers. I'm willing to give up a little less cloud for great flavor. Big air hole and or big chamber = big clouds but significantly less flavor. 2cents:)

Did you order the brass Rm2 unmilled at the base?

My English doesn't go to far technically speaking, I just asked Robert if he could do it so that it sits flush on the milled Reo. But I'm still waiting for the invoice, it's thanksgiving today so hopefully tomorrow will be the day :) .

And yep, smaller chambers, better flavour, and the same with the airholes. There's a reason many gennies now come that way (though it's quite oldschool, it seemed like it was forgotten for a while). I remember my Nimbus days...that was hellish flavour, a bit too much with those tiny airholes and dual coils. Finding the perfect(ish) spot between flavour and vapour is quite a task!

I was going to get a AFC, but then realized I could get ~4 cyclone clones for the same price. I figure with that many top caps, anyone should be able to find a setup they like without a variable airflow. :)

Currently I have:
-RM2 with 1/16
-RM2 with 3/32
-stock cyclone clone
-cyclone with 1/16 x 4 holes (2 on each side)

I find myself switching between the 1/16 RM2 with a simple microcoil as my ADV, and the 4 hole cyclone dual coil for fun.

BTW can a math whiz tell me, how does the area of a 3/32" hole compare with two 1/16" holes?

1/16th, and I mouth to lung. Direct lung is a bit of a burn at 1/16, unless my throat is properly numbed with booze, then I'll catch myself purposefully direct lunging' it, but more for throat hit than clouds.

I really like what Pdib did for air control on his RM2, and wonder if there isn't a simpler way of getting that done. Maybe some sort of plastic tubing?

I was also just thinking, after examining devices like the Kayfun and their airflow chambers; what if there was an internal air-flow restricter that could be jimmied up for the RM2? Something like what's in the Pulse-G? A ceramic insert piece that kind of halves the internal chamber space of the RM2, giving the air a more concentrated, cartomizer esq pathway... allowing no where else for the air to go but over/under the coil and directly up. hmmm...

Theres so many variables I have a stock rm2 cap and when I put that on my grand with a .8 coil mouth to lung throat hit is intense but placing my 1/16 cap on it its not nearly as harsh and I get pretty good clouds as well on my vv at 1.4 ohms with the 1/16 cap clouds suffer but theres more flavor and with the stock theres better clouds but less flavor lol

i also lung hit and my RM2s are 3/32 size big.......ive actually thought about going a little bigger but waiting for another RM2 to come in the mail first........but even mouth hitting with an air hole that big makes some decent clouds too......my neighbor came over last night and was mouth hitting a grand i had laying around and he was getting alot of clouds off that RM2
