When I first started vaping, I had a 1000mAh Twist with a big ol' Vivi Nova parked on top of it tossed into my shirt pocket. I quickly found that the drip tip was easily knocked off (yeah, lost the bloody thing, and it was brand spanking new!) and I haven't touched a tank with removable drip tips since. Until now.

I now have a couple of PuriTanks and I'm finding that the drip tips that come with them are easily removed as well. So, what do you folks use and are they any more secure than the ones I've managed to get a hold of? I don't expect them to require a vise and channel locks to get 'em off, but I can see myself loosing a ton of these things if they all can be easily knocked off.

Thicker o-ring? Some tips are better than others? Not much experience with 'em and to date, I'm not too impressed (which is why I love my Protanks!).

I've found slight variations in size of just about everything: O-rings, caps, cartos. I've had tight drip tips and, more recently, a loose one. There are thicker O-rings around (sorry I can't recall specific vendors at the moment) or you might switch the rings from a tip you don't use very often. In my experience, loose is better than tight. I had to use a bolt cutter on a carto to free my favorite glass tip, which got scratched in the process. :(

I guess they still make wooden clothespins? My drip tip question is how do you know it will fit when you buy it online? I use egos and Vivi Novas.

Yes, wooden ones ;)

The rings are supposedly standardized, but I don't know the size. I've seen two different kinds: a clear (silicone?) thats thinner and shows up more often on CE4 type tips, and a black one (Rubber?) that is fatter.

The Vivi takes a 510 drip tip, so replacement rings should be noted to fit that size. As I said, I've had more tight drip tips than loose ones, but with mine the size difference was the carto, not the drip tips.

I've been told that vendors who sell body jewelry sell tiny rubber rings.

ETA: This is what the black ones look like: http://www.madvapes.com/510-901-drip-tip-replacement-o-ring.html

And these are the clear ones (OOS): http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/part...510-miscellaneous-accessories/510-o-ring-5pk/
