Ok guys. Who has a vtr, and what do you think of it? Any rattlesnaking? Hows the vape quality?
Hudson if you're willing to take a hacksaw to it or use the extender to get your Kayfuns on it then it's fine , I've never heard rattlesnaking with my SVD or the Vamo I had but I know the VTR has the same chip as the SVD so if you're one of those that hears it then forget it .
There is some pulsing in the SVD at hi watt settings (1.7-2.2 ohms @ 13+W), if you have very sensitive ears you may catch a tone... I only found it when I have the driptip pressed firmly against my teeth... then I get the pulse "noise" thru bone conduction doesnt happen all the time tho.... seems there is a harmonic being produced in the buck component of the chip...
You looking to get one or just researching for another mod?
Pappy, it's excellent so far. The quality is a bit better than the HCigar 3.1s I have. It feels more solid, and the threading is excellent. I just posted over on the Big Thread that I didn't realize it comes with a nano kit. It wasn't in the description, or in the pics. Same price as the EHPro, but that one comes with extra o-rings.
The coils screws seemed easier to work with than the 3.1s. If memory serves, the tops were slightly rounder. They just felt easier for these old eyes to see, and sturdier. The vape is KF greatness.
Two quibbles, though, that might have been due to overfilling. After refilling, I tightened the airflow screw just a quarter of a turn, and it started leaking a bit. That's down to a small bit of slow weeping. Then when screwing the tank to my MVP, juice started flowing from the airhole. That stopped after a couple of clean ups and reducing the amount in the tank.
After every draw vapor escapes from the airhole. It's done that since I got it. Don't know if that's a KFL quirk, as this is my first one.
Did you get the "M tank", which is an extra cost option? I don't know what the "M tank" is, so I don't know if I want it or not.
It's an extra plastic tank. They come in colors, but VR is offering only the clear with the KFL. It does come with one clear one.
Yup it is what it's supposed to be now , I'm not sure but I got a feeling LA needs to check that new HC KFL+ for the same thing .
It shouldn't , I've seen other coil configurations made that way .
Thinking about trying it on the next build for the double cross. cut the ribbon long enough for 2 coils then wrap one mount it with the long wire thru the center post. Then wrap the other side. I think I can do it but I'm in no hurry. The .4 dual coils I have now are working to good to take out yet.
Went by my sister's house this evening; her KFC whistles terribly. Would drive me nuts. I want some help to fix it, but need to wait until the weekend when I can have it here.

Yes, it was restocking. Fasttech just doesn't tell you that on the site. They offered to cancel and refund, but she wanted to wait. She's not suffering, she's still got my Vamo.
