We're all about the same Volt. I do 30ga, 9/10 wraps with 2mm ID. If you go larger ID you need less wraps, smaller ID more wraps. Then there's the wire thickness. I find 28 ga and thicker tends to heat up a little slower. But if you want to subohm you'll have to go 28 ga or thicker (26ga, 24ga).

and thats why I mentioned its not worth cloning a Provari
too hard to clone...
I won't purchase a tobeco product either , What in the hell was Vape Royalty thinking when they picked up the tobeco Magma clone instead of the Hcigar or Infinite , I've already seen complaints in the RBA subforum about the tobeco Magma , they have a crapload of Hcigar RDA's and they decide to carry a crap Magma clone . it just ain't smart .Been watching a lot of rda reviews. The Veritas has caught my eye. But it is expensive ($120). I have found only one clone...Tobeco. I've read too many negatives about Tobeco and will not buy anything from them. I wrote Vape Royalty to see if there is another clone maker who has this in the works. He wrote back and said he's checking with his purchasing department. I want a quality clone maker to offer this before I will buy it. Anyhow, here is the review from Todd. There are several others who reviewed it too with similar opinions. Sadly, this was not one of Todd's best productions. The last two minutes explains why. But if you're interested, give this review a spin. Nice dripper.
Since there is no Provari clone worth mentioning I won't mention it other than stay away from Sigelei products , they've gone south in quality IMO . I'm pretty much in line with Dusty on the Kayfun builds , 7 or 8 wraps of 28ga at 2mm or 2.4 mm , I'm still playing with the Magma , best results so far have been 8 wraps of 28 ga dual coils coming in at .8 ohms , currently trying a single 11 wrap 24ga Gplat coil at 2.4mm ID ohming at .5 since BK gave me some Gplat to play with . Everybody has their preferences , you can use ours as a starting point to find your own .I have a few questions I know you gurus and "double gurus" can answer. Now that Bronze mentioned clones, what is the best Provari clone out there? Is it the Vamo? Also, I noticed different preferences between you guys regarding the number of wraps you like to do. I notice Dust and Chak like less wraps while Bronze likes to do a hundred if allowed. So what are the pros and cons of each method? EDIT- One more question...did all of you guys have to drop nic levels and increase VG ratios when upgrading to RDA/RBA's? I worry my 18mg 70/30 PG/VG juices will be too harsh now. Also, in case this info helps, I normally vape them in clearos (T4's around 2.5-2.7ohm), on spinners/twists set between 3.9 to 4.2 volts.
No we aren't the same.![]()

I mentioned to Vape Royalty that I appreciate them stocking high quality products and encouraged them to continue to do that. Tobeco would not be included. I've heard as much bad (if not more) than good pertaining to Tobeco.
I seeVR has an Infinite Plume Veille but out of stock.
Remind me again. Have you been Magmatized yet?!
You told them that tobeco isn't a consideration when it comes to quality ? Good ! Since most of their gear comes without warranty it won't do for them to stock garbage .I mentioned to Vape Royalty that I appreciate them stocking high quality products and encouraged them to continue to do that. No. I have been on a mission to go lean with juice and gear so I haven't bought any new gear in a long while. I also decided I would do juice and gear revisits every 6 - 12 months. That gives enough time to realize the jumps in new designs instead of chasing the latest and greatest every week and not noticing much of a change except in my wallet. Right now there are 5 - 10 top notch RDA's available. Magma, Origen, Zenith, Veritas, Tugboat, Plume Veil, others. And depending on who you ask or who you believe, any one of them is considered THEE best. I suspect they're all pretty damn close. I'll be getting new drippers in winter. For now, I'm enjoying my lean vaping life (and plump wallet).
It will have to be a snake and bite him first Dusty .Remind me again. Have you been Magmatized yet?!

Exactly , that design feature works in a kayfun , it just made sense that it would work and make a difference in an RDA , it hasn't disappointed here either .The bottom air-flow in the Magma was the swing-vote for me. It has not disappointed!

The one dripper that mimics the Magma is the Veritas. But instead of the airway being underneath the coil, it is behind it.
