A half a ball is a lot to stuff in a kayfun but you still get away with it , I see too many posts saying the kayfun is hard to wick correctly and it baffles the hell out of me , I'm of a mind that most of those problems lie elsewhere or are a combination of errors or defects .

Killer is not subject to normality. I learned that about him long ago. :)

I think the one with the logo is a real KFL base. Maybe a bought as a second. The one without the logo I think is a clone.

And my issue isn't the cotton. It's the juice channels.

Wasn't referring to you about the wicking , I read your previous posts about the channels , There are innumerable posts in the rebuildable atomiser section of ECF about kayfun wicking woes David and some individuals seem to post about their issues several times a day , I'm considering adding them to my ignore list which has zero people on it right now , I don't respond to those posts but I'll do anything I can for an Army member .

I know you weren't. I had a few wick issues when I started using cotton. But got it sorted out quick enough. Most of the post you see are probably due to user error or coil killer juice. I knew my wick , coil and juice were good so I looked for the problem. It's been working pretty good today. Still going to see if I can clean up the channels a little more. Think that'll take care of it.

I sometimes have issues but I really just fly by the seat of my pants and I don't research things. Ain't nobody got time for that! But I have a short attention span and get bored quickly and move on to the next thing. Fiddling with vaping for me has waned a lot. I just want to get my vape on. :) But I am happy with my KFC and have good luck most days. One new thing I tried was cutting my cotton ball with scissors instead of just ripping some off. :D It seems to help. ;)

I unroll the cotton ball RJ so I can get an even thickness and I trim with scissors , I don't do anything besides clean dryburn and rewick , as Bronze said I must be lucky cause neither of my 3.1's give me any trouble at all , but some people try to overthink and overcomplicate things and it ain't worth it , I keep my builds simple and they work , good enough for me , but at the same time I want my stuff in proper working order , I'd be OCD about it if it weren't .

I must be lucky, too*. First build and every subsequent build on various gennies and no problems. Same with drippers, with one exception where my first dual coil wasn't evenly matched. First and every horizontal coil build on a Kayfun and no problems, wicking or otherwise.

I did mess up the wick on a vertical chimney coil by blocking the air flow. Rewicked and raised the coil as I've seen others do and the whole tank leaked all over a mod and into a cup holder. I replaced that with a horizontal Mundy's Magic Wire coil and man was that good!:2cool: By then, I was using KGD cotton which is easier to wick through MM coils. Unfortunately, that KFL+ on an EA went overboard to join my Vamo and its atomizer from last year.:(

Toughest challenge I've had so far is on my new tri-coil Estia with air and juice flow controls, but I got lucky again! Three coils at 0.6Ω and perfect amount of cotton. I've only had to rewick it once and got it right again.

    * I discovered last year that my KFs do NOT like extreme temperature changes like going from A/C to 85+ F in humid Florida. I'm curious to see how the Estia does under those conditions.

I loathed gennies. Was so glad Kayfun came out and obsoleted them. Finicky P'sOS!

Ahhh yes.. We are both headed up there sometime in July Or August. Haven't figured out a date yet. Need to get approval from work first. Personally I don't want to go and would rather take the money being spent to go towards a house but regardless she needs to go...

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. I'd think the same thing. I'd rather save the loot and work on getting a downpayment. But what can you do? Like you say, she needs to go so it is what it is. No point in having a house if she's all squirrely. I also understand if she's a bit homesick. Poor girl.
