I got the Ehpro, kayfun Lite Plus, Stainless Steel instead of black, at eciggity.com. for $35. After shipping total @ $40. I guess I am getting a little closer to finding out what all the fuss is about... the worst that could happen is some lucky lady gets a free KFL Lite + clone if I send it back, and I've wasted more than that on juices I poured down the drain !

I think you're liable to find the Kayfun is mute in flavor compared to the Rm2 , they've been relegated to backup status for me but I'm subohming on the Rose and close to it on the Heron , something the Kayfun was never intended for and both of those are a little harder to build as well , but as you know YMMV , much depends on the build you put in it .

That's not necessarily what I wanted to hear.. but at least I will have the opportunity to find out without spending $300 ;)
Papaw most of the RDA's have the advantage in flavor over RBA's and the RM2 is really a modified RDA but you can get close with a good build in the Kayfun , I think the Kayfun/Provari combination is a good reliable vape , pretty much headache free and you'll get better battery life with the Provari than a full mech , but everything's a tradeoff in one way or the other IMO . I'm running subohm mostly so I'm trading battery life , ease of build and not being able to regulate my vape without changing my build for chasing all the flavor I can get but that ain't for everybody . The Kayfun is a solid reliable vape , there's a lot to be said for that .

There are some who use their drip tip that comes with the bottle. Ask Chak how he does it. I think he just slaps the thing right in the fill hole and squeezes it in. FYI: There has to be a small air pocket remaining with each KFL fill...for vacuum (half a pea size is fine). I use a syringe.

    EDIT: David confirms

Yes I fill strait from the bottle. But! and this is important. Don't just push juice in till it's full you'll flood it. I pulse it in. Give it a squeeze and let off to till the juice goes down. The only time I flood it these days is if I get in a hurry.

That's pretty much how I do it too. I let the air that is being displaced back into the bottle. Squeeze, let up and let the air back in the bottle, squeeze, let the air back into the bottle. Seems to work better that way :)

I fill my Kayfuns from the top. I also stuff my wick in after putting the cylindrical chamber around them. :p I never have issues. I use the KISS method in most things. If I flood, I turn the mod upside down and suck through the air hole while firing until it's not flooded. I'm so not technical with it at all. It works for me. I watch Calve fiddle with his Herons and I would never have the patience or time for all that.

I've got a couple of 3mg (DF, PB and Legend) and finding it difficult to even hit those with lung hits. I'm such a wuss! :(

No problem hitting a custard type juice at 3mg from a local vendor though. Do you think it may be the NETs that are making the TH too harsh for me at 3mg?
What's your usual P/VG level, Dusty? Have you tried lowering your PG level to lower the TH?

EDIT: never mind. I should read further before replying...

The only problem with that is you can only get so much air through the center post no matter how many holes you drill in the base . Do you know if they modified the center post too David ?
That's the problem with the Big Buddha I have - the dual air flow is negated because the hole in the insulation plate is smaller than the center tube. Not gonna bother drilling it out like others have as I prefer a tighter draw anyway. :2cool:

Yea, the Hornet and the RM2 taught me that.
Next question; with these Kayfun clones, do you need a syringe or a fill bottle ? I don't have either...
Like David, on the KF "Lite" I use the regular HHV bottle tip to fill. Just have to press a bit to make a good seal - air escapes through the inner chamber/chimney via the juice channels. Thus the need to invert the tank while filling. :D

    My KFL's are being quirky.

When I take them apart the chimney is about a twist or 2 loose from the tube thingy.

Also, on the deck, the part that had the airhole and sits on the insulator is slightly ajar. Both problems are easy to correct, just wondering what's causing them to get all loosy goosey?

The chimney part happens as you are unscrewing the base. Happens to me too. Just make sure you're tightening it well when you're putting it back together.

The deck, nothing should move. That section is controlled by the screw that acts as your centre pin. It should be completely tight and resistant to movement, or else it can cause your deck to move and your coil to short out.

Dusty... That happened, it moved and my coil shorted out? Should I return it? I'll send an inquiry email.

LOL no.. You need a screw driver, a credit card and a paper-clip to fix this.

Insert the credit card between the movable part on the deck and the solid part, and then tighten the bottom screw. Once it is completely tight, you will notice that the notch in the screw is either lined up with the air-hole or will be at 90 degrees to it.

If it's kinda somewhere in between, then it means that the air hole is not lined up with the hole on the inside of the center post. That's where the paper-clip comes in.

Insert the paper clip in through the air intake and measure that it goes past atleast to the depth of the centre post. If it does not, you may have to crank the screw a little bit to make sure that the holes line up. Does not take much..and definitely not a cause for return.

Best of luck. Let me know if you have any questions.
