Loosening the AFC screw lets more air in and loosens the draw , tightening the AFC screw tightens the draw but also pulls more juice in to the chamber . The easiest way to fill is to unscrew the topcap and fill it up , sometimes the chimney will loosen when you do that so check it before you put the topcap back on . You might get a little gurgle filling it that way but just turn your wattage up for a few hits to vape off the excess . Congrats Voltron , the KFM should mop up the floor with your clearomizers . :)

Thanks a bunch. I'll try filling it up that way. This not only mops the floor with my clearos, but also with the Magma. :D Yeah, I said it! :w00t: LOL!

Okay, so I finally finished my first KFM build. A 1.9ohm coil with rayon at 3.9 volts. I'm vaping some 70pg juice with no problem as it doesn't come through as harsh as the Magma. I did have an issue trying to fill the tank with a syringe through the air hole (how it's shown in a tutorial), as the juice would spill out. Is there another way to fill it up? I had to blow out through the mouthpiece to get a bit of juice inside the tank. Also, how exactly does the airflow control work on these things? Just loosen the screw and rotate? Thanks in advance. BTW, rocking some Caramel Wild Wood in it right now and it tastes amazing.

The KFMini should have another hole on the base with a ball valve for filling. Not the air hole. While you're holding it upside down it's the one on the left. The syringe or needle top bottle has to be the right size so that it doesn't spill. You can also fill from the top before you put the cap on - the trick to that is putting your finger/thumb over the air hole while you fill, then start threading the cap on. When the threads catch turn the tank upside down while still holding the air hole closed and finish screwing on the cap.

I don't think you're ready for an RDA just yet , try going back to the Magma after you gain experience with the KFM , the KFM is more forgiving as far as builds go , theres a good possibility you had a hot lead , ie one of the legs on the coil glowing or you didn't have the coil positioned right or the wrong amount of wick , any one of those can cause a harsh hit , it's hard to say without seeing your build . If needs be look on youtube for a video on top filling a kayfun , they have videos on it . Now get that KFM filled and enjoy your success ! :)

I just tried filling it from the top without putting my finger over the airhole, and the juice would just stay on the sides and not go down. I hadn't read your response yet, so I'll try it your way now.

Tell me if this has happened to anyone else; Rayon does deliver great flavor- But I woke up with Serious Sinus Issues (which I personally am susceptible to) and a really bad sore throat. This evening I come home, picked up my new Reos/ RM5 combo and... dry hit. Shoulda squonked first, wasn't thinking. The taste became metallic, and quite unenjoyable. I removed the Rayon, dry burned and replaced with fresh Rayon. Better, but still aggravated the back of my throat. Pulled those wicks, and replaced with cotton. A little different taste, and cut the air back slightly, but not as 'aggressive' a vape. Could just be my Sinus Issues, the same reason I could never vape Ahlusion e-liquids. I was just wondering if anyone else has had issues with sore throat or a metallic taste from Rayon ?

I used to cover the airhole like Chak says , but I've gotten lazy . :) The juice should flow all the way to the bottom of the tank regardless , just make sure those topcap threads are caught before you flip it or you'll be wearing your juice . :)

I've burnt the rayon wicks in my Magma before trying for one too many hits on it , not a pleasant taste but no issues from it , I have allergies and bad sinuses too but so far no problems with the rayon , I'd hate to go back to cotton now .

Do you use more or less Rayon ? I tried considerably less, looked like it was just lying in the coils....

I use more rayon than I did cotton since the rayon compresses instead of expanding , your wicks might have lost contact with your coils causing a hotspot . I use 1/4 to 1/3 more rayon than cotton .

After looking through many tutorials (Grimm skips the filling process in his review), I ran into this one which was very helpful.

I followed her filling technique, and it was a complete success this time. I love how this KFM thing works. I found exactly what I was looking for earlier sitting right in front of me. :) Special thanks to retic, who was the one who suggested I buy it in the first place, and everyone else who helped me through it. I really appreciate the help.

PS- I loosened the air flow screw a bit before filling and it really seemed to help the juice flow down. Also, no gurgling or anything. I guess I probably did a decent job building the coil and wick.

Voltron , have you vaped yourself into a kayfun coma yet ? :)

Not yet bud, but getting there. The night is still young :)

So retic, what's the next thing I should get? You're officially my vaping equipment Yoda now. ;)

I forgot to add that for aesthetic reasons I'm looking for a small, VV, ego style battery that would look nice on the KFM. I don't foresee myself sub-ohm-ing, so it doesn't have to be a mod. Perhaps the newest Vison Spinner or the Innokin VV3? What do you think?

I would say the Innokin over the spinner . Something to be considered later is getting yourself a full sized kayfun , either a kayfun lite + or a 3.1 , they offer the same quality of vape as your KFM in a larger format . Kayfuns do not taint juice like a clearomiser does so no worries about the larger capacity on them . Eventually you should consider getting a device with replaceable batteries instead of throw away devices .

Man, the KFM seems to be just what the doctor ordered for me. I've been vaping my regular juice without any issues, and the taste is DOPE. :)
I can't wait until I'm done with my current tank so I can vape another one of my favorites on it. I'm almost there right now. :vapor:

Maybe I should get a couple more of these before I upgrade batteries. Perhaps my MVP2 and iStick will do for now. I really like the iStick and will probably buy at least one more. Now that I switched the KFM from my MVP to the iStick, I've noticed it's pretty perfect in regards to size. I'm surpised how small these little suckers are. I doubt I'll find anything smaller that is as powerful. BTW, I just read it will fire down to 1.0ohm.

Go for it , you need more than one kayfun so you don't have to wait .

I might be wrong but have a feeling the Istick will be readily available at some good sale prices in a month or so.
