After looking through many tutorials (Grimm skips the filling process in his review), I ran into this one which was very helpful.

I followed her filling technique, and it was a complete success this time. I love how this KFM thing works. I found exactly what I was looking for earlier sitting right in front of me. :) Special thanks to retic, who was the one who suggested I buy it in the first place, and everyone else who helped me through it. I really appreciate the help.

PS- I loosened the air flow screw a bit before filling and it really seemed to help the juice flow down. Also, no gurgling or anything. I guess I probably did a decent job building the coil and wick.

Great to hear you're enjoying the mini. Where did you get yours from, Voltron? Did you know that Angelicas andFastTech have a pretty good clone. Just in case you're thinking of buying another one.

I actually got mine from Fasttech (1:1 clone) as well. :) Getting two more seems very reasonable at those prices. I saw they offered cheaper clones, but went with the one retic linked me to. Have you tried the cheapest ones?

The $21.65 KFM at FT that Chak linked you to is made by Ivogo and it's a good one , the cheaper ones are gonna be hit or miss , you might get lucky or you might not , it's probably best to stick with the one you got or the Ivogo , I believe IG has the Ivogo version and there's no problems with it . Just a heads up on Angelecigs , they now charge for shipping .

I only have one KFMini and it's genuine, so I paid over $120 for it. Been waiting for a decent clone to come out before getting another. Now I might get another before Christmas. :D

Still playing with my new toy. Wrapped two 0.8 coils (0.4 total) with seven wraps of 30g on a 3/32 drill bit. That's metered ohms. Both coils heat simultaneously and in unison. Stuffed coils with fresh rayon. First hit almost killed me. Opened VAF ring wide open, then slowly worked back down to half open. Instant vapor, lots of it, and good flavor. I am currently 'slip-streaming' the drip tip to keep the vape as cool as I like, waiting for a wide bore drip tip. And, this thing drinks e-liquid. 30ml of Shadow is half gone already ! Eternity Drip tip.jpg Coming Soon !

Papaw , you might wanna try some different juices with that setup . Legend and DF really lite up in subohm builds , Temptation not so much . I use a long narrow driptip to cool the vape on hotter builds , seems to concentrate the flavor a bit as well .

Pawpaw..might I suggest you get some 28ga kanthal and twist it? 8 wraps on a 5/65th drill will get the same results but a lot cooler coil. .8 ohms and a flavor machine! ;)
I wick with cotton and often use that build as a go to on my Reo.

I like the twisted 28ga for a single coil setup , duals with the twisted take a while to heat up though , thinking about putting some twisted 26ga in my Rose for S&G . :)

I have been using single coils for quite a bit but now I have ordered a DNA mod so time to start learning all over again. I will start with cooler coils and go from there. I have 26ga on hand and am ordering some 24ga also. May as well learn now while I still can. I'm not getting any younger and already have to use jewelers visor to build my coils! hehe

I played with some Gplat that BK gave me , much lower resistance than Kanthal and it heats up a lot faster , I had 10 wraps at 2.4 mm id come out to .41 ohms in the Rose , favorite build in that so far , I use 100%VG with extra extract requested in my HHV juices , DF ordered that way is killer in subohm builds .

Any tank fans really should try the Orchid V3 or V4 allows for dual juice sucking sub-ohm builds and those things are beasts! V3 is 3ml V4 is 4ml tank.
I'm favoring my Rose clone right now , the juice flow control on it lets me open the faucet on hot builds . I can chain vape 100%VG at .4 ohms without worrying about dry hits . It is a harder build than most RTA's though .
