Well, Round 1 of Orchid vs Dusty definitely went to Orchid.

Trying to do a build with unfamiliar hardware when juggling shower, dinner etc for a 6 year old was a perfect recipe for failure.

I got everything from messed up coil, broken coil, leak while filling, spilled juice due to bottle knock over .. until I finally got it all going just how I wanted it. .9 ohm single coil, no leaking, nice huge air flow.. big lung hit. Cough cough cough! I filled it with 12mg nic.

I'll work with it again once Chloe goes to bed. :)

Well, I can see how all that might happen while building in the shower. At least clean up was easy, eh?

Spent the day with my provari. I missed my VF all day. Came home and immediately switched over to it. Still working perfectly, no screen glitches or issues. I'm still in love :)

Since you've posted your success story with the VF, I've been feeling it tugging at me. But, (fortunately?), they seem to be out of stock. Oh, wait! I found a site with lots of them in stock, Vapor Flasks. This one looks good:

It looks easy to fill, but I wonder how you replace the battery?

I may end up getting a Vapor Shark. Or just a chip and see if I can make one myself.

Well if you find a place to get a nice box or find someone that can make one to put the parts in post it. Putting the parts in wouldn't be that hard. But making a box that doesn't look like it was done by a 5 year old has been my road block.

I've been thinking about building my own box with wood. I am almost certain it will look like that* since I haven't played around in a wood shop since the '70s. But . . . I just ordered a ShopSmith Mark 7 for my small space. That'll guarantee I can make perfectly beautiful mods/cabinets/furniture... Right?

*Hmm. I wonder if that's why Ms Twist keeps giving me her empty Altoids cans?

Bimini... I like this dna40 too. Simple, made to order and they seem to stand behind their product.

I do like the look of that one, and it should be rugged enough for me. But I think I'd rather have the ability to quickly swap a weak battery with a fully charged battery.

Or make your own! Could be fun.

That's what I keep telling myself!

I don't expect to get started on one before January. We'll see if I still have all 10 fingers and some modicrum of sanity along about February or March.

Edit:
Er...huh? Is ECF having some crazy hiccups? It kept telling me to wait at least 15 seconds to reply, regardless of how long it had been since my last. When it finally went through, there were two copies - posted 8 hours earlier than in real life.

So, I replied and quoted a post from the future :D
