I had some fun with my ZNA Lite this week. I mentioned when I got it that the insulator on the 510 connector top cap would slip. Dusty advised a way to get it back in place and that's been working fine. It doesn't have a floating connection but an adjustable one - you move the pin up or down with slight turns of the copper with a small screwdriver. No problem since my Aqua was on it all day everyday. Now I have a second Aqua.
The 510 connectors on my Aqua v2's differ slightly in length. Slight adjustment and good to go.
Except this week, waiting for a table at our favorite Indian restaurant with my ZNA in my bag after a 5x click to lock the firing button. Suddenly my leg gets very warm. Takes a minute until I realize it's the mod! The Aqua was so hot I couldn't touch it, but the ZNA was still locked. I pulled the battery, glad it didn't vent. With a 26ga coil in it that baby took a good long time to cool down. I'm also glad it was a single coil. Duals might have caused a fire!
Turns out the insulator slipped down causing a constant connection to the battery. I need to contact them to see if I can get a replacement insulator or a new top cap. Still love my ZNA Lite though.
