Sorry guys but my vote is for the Provari. The one thing I hate about the ZNA is that you can't build a coil on it. I like to know what resistance my coils are before I use it and the ZNA does not allow to just check the resistance of a coil without firing it. I find my self always reaching for the Povari to build my coils, then I place it on the ZNA. If I was stranded on an island and had to chose one, I'd go for the Provari as it is more of an overall tool.

The provari fires itself automatically in order to check the resistance of a coil. So, that point is moot.

Yea once I learned about the one button menu, 3 year old design, no vw, can't fire under 1.4 and the $200 price tag I suddenly stopped wanting to learn any more additional information about it.

Whether you like the Provari or not is a matter of opinion and we all have those but at least get the facts straight when talking about it. It'll fire down to .9 ohm and it's $159.

Oh dear god it can only do 2.9 volts at .9 ohms so if you wanna call that working... Isn't the amp limit like 3 or 3.5?
I'm so sick of provari fanboys at this forum I swear.

Then I'm sure you feel the same way about fanGIRLS too - hahaha - it's okay, really! ;)

I wouldn't buy a Porsche to haul a 5th wheel and I wouldn't buy a ProVari to sub-ohm. My 2 ProVaris do exactly what they were designed to do and they do it every time. I have no interest in sub-ohming with them, I could buy a cheap mech for that.

For me, its about the quality of the build, does it meet my needs and will it last. Those are the same reasons I bought my ZNA. :vapor:

Your right though, 90% of the time I don't sub-ohm. It's nice to have the option to do so if you need though. Also its awesome to have a regulated device you can sub ohm on so you don't get voltage drop. I think the ZNA is the perfect all in one device. I don't want to have to reach for a different mod depending on what I throw on top, thats just me though.

What type of battery do you guys use in 18650 mode? Nipple tops 18650's don't fit in my tube. Doesn't really matter b/c I prefer to use flat tops, just wondering if that was the case for anyone else.

Turn your phone sideways to take the picture. I use only aw imr batteries

I've used AW, EFest, and Panasonic 18650 IMRs in my ZNA with my GM 650 tube. They are all button (nipple) tops and fit perfectly. What do you mean "don't fit"? I don't understand. If they're button tops they should fit.

Well I guess i should say it doesn't work well. When i put a zen switch on it the switch is so stiff u can barely press it, when put it on the ZNA theres a gap. I've heard they put a little extra room in the tubes to prevent arcing and thats why you can hear a little bit of a rattle, no rattle whatsoever on mine though even with flat tops. I feel like they cut my tube a mm or 2 short (i kinda doubt it though). The only 18650 aw imr's i have i purchased from ebay (before i knew fakes were rampant) so maybe there counterfeit and a little longer? They look genuine though and that still wouldn't explain no rattle on the flat tops.

The gap and rattle you're taking about is on the zenesis mechs only. It's not supposed to be there on the ZNA or sidewinder. On your 650 tube did you buy a zen tube or steam monkey? You may have the same issue I have and have a longer spring. I've already talked to Mike on mine and you may want to call him about yours as well. Can you also measure your batteries and give us a rough length without the nipple part. I have some AW 650s I can compare it to for you if you can.

No i mean theres no rattle when it has the the zen bottom fire switch on. It's a SS Zen coat with no grooves. Freakin love the looks of the thing. My buddy has a digital mm measure thingy (I have no clue what its called) and I'll measure it and post back.

Why did you stick the switch on it? Lol. The derlin top insert makes the inner dims different than with zen's mechs. Try the 650s with th zna cap instead of the switch and it should fit.
