I just posted this to the American Lung Association FB page:

I smoked my last cig on September 10, 2012 @ 230PM. I made an easy transition to vaping as I did not have the need nor desire to smoke once I tried this. I would like to see a "harm reduction" approach included in smoking cessation program as we all know that addictions are not easily swayed with a "just quit" mentality. Help us help ourselves by having an open mind to vaping. There are many people that have used vaping to completely stop the addiction to cigarettes and others have been able to continue vaping without nicotine shedding their addiction to nicotine. I implore you to do some research before you quickly dismiss vaping as smoking, please encourage those who have embraced vaping in an attempt to save their lives. When you see someone vaping an ecig give them a thumbs up, or a word of encouragement & a smile! Inform yourself:

Nice comment and Thanks for joining in on this campaign but I would re-frame from posting links on their Facebook page or on any other organizations like that with a link. Posting link can be viewed as "Spam" by them and they have good cause to delete them. I should of put this in the OP but always remember the golden rule when commenting on Facebook back like this Be honest, Be polite and Be respectful. I am aware of the Vaping community dis-like towards the ALA. I would say only go negative if they make a comment negative comment about Ecigs. Then the truth might be exposed.

If you look under Matthew Alan's post, there were comments from an Izia something-or-other. His posts were demeaning, trolling, ignorant statements with minimal information and source-less quotes. Those have been reported as spam. LOL, at one point he called e-liquid "home made dirty bathtub juice". I have seen mix labs cleaner than pharmacies and doctors offices lol, just go away.

Yeah that was me. The funny thing is after he made that comment that put this in my friends Facebook feed 24 hours after I made the comment and they came in the comment section and told the troll to F off and they where proud of me having no idea that this was me doing some advocacy on be-half of the Ecig community. Most of those friends of mine are smokers too. So they might try out Ecigs after seeing that and become vapors. I just hope they don't buy that gas station crap.

@thew92: Not sure if you meant this as a reply to my post or for Lbox88, but I would argue that somehow & in someway the information needs to be disseminated. We are lucky to have an org like CASAA already in place that has the capacity to inform the public. If the Lung Assoc chooses to remove my post they will do so with or without the link as these types of org's dislike anything that looks like smoking based solely on misinformation. It will take some time before they remove it, in the meantime maybe some will be able to read it. Furthermore, I was polite, respectful and honest as I would appreciate someone giving me the thumbs up or offering a word of encouragement for my attempts to stop smoking. I do not see my comment as being negative at all, IMO.

I was referring you your comment overall I like you posting that than doing nothing at all. I agree 100% we are lucky that we have CASAA. Just IMO links overall can be viewed as spam. That is all I am saying. If one person sees that and joins CASAA because of it than I view that as a positive. But links overall I think it is a bad idea next thing you know we have people going on posting affiliate links on their FB page that would be very bad IMO. Then it really would be spam. I am not saying what you did is spam, I am saying it could be view as spam by the ALA. I do not think that your comment was attacking.
